The Tom Jones Memorial Invitational ranked as the #️⃣1️⃣ meet in the world according to World Athletics, as of April 15th.
Some key highlights of this meet:
-Tarsis Orogot and Courtney Lindsey run times of 19.90 and 19.88 in the 200m.
-Josh Hoey and Jaxon Hoey went 3:38.63 and 3:39.40 in the men’s 1500m.
-Team USA Red which featured Mikiah Brisco, Abby Steiner, Jenna Prandini and Aleia Hobbs clocked 41.94 in the women’s 4x100m.
-Shafiqua Maloney runs 1:59.97 in the women’s 800m.
-Grace Stark of Florida, runs an impressive new personal best time and school record in the women’s 100mH final, 12.56.
-Nia Ali ran a world leading time of 12.44 in the women’s Olympic Development final.
-Grant Holloway eases his way into another win, 13.10 in the prelims and 13.21 in the finals.
-Freshman Kaylyn Brown of Arkansas won the women’s 400m invite with a time of 49.95.
-Christopher Morales Williams of Georgia ran a new personal best time of 44.91 in the men’s 400m invite.
-Senior Jacious Sears of Tennessee is now the second fastest in collegiate history over 100 meters with her time of 10.77.
-Noah Lyles ran his first 100m race of the 2024 season and won in a photo finish. His time was 10.01 (10.005) and Kenneth Bednarek finished second in 10.01 (10.010).
-The men’s Florida Gators secured a victory in the 4x400m event, clocking 3:01.20.
