I am a lifelong insomniac and have played this video every single night for the last 6 months as I fall asleep. I tried switching it up and going back to music or ASMR and I could not fall asleep. Turned this on and fell asleep within 10 minutes. The next morning I realized that I accidentally trained myself to only fall asleep to Tom's voice. Oh well, could be worse I guess.

Enjoyed your reading and your unique spin on the classical poets that had me totally engaged. I’m a poet who specializing in Japanese forms: haiku, tanka, haibun, kyoka, senryu. I hope you don’t mind me sharing a tanka and my haiku tribute poem to Bashō’s frog with commentary by the late AHA founder and poet Jane Reichhold who considered my Basho haiku among her top 10 haiku of all time! What an honor. Here’s the Bashō poem and commentary: Bashō’s frog four hundred years of ripples At first the idea of picking only 10 of my favorite haiku seemed a rather daunting task. How could I review all the haiku I have read in my life and decide that there were only 10 that were outstanding? Then realized I was already getting a steady stream of excellent haiku day by day through the AHA forum. The puns and write-offs based on Basho's most famous haiku are so numerous I would have said that nothing new could be said with this method, but here Al Fogel proved me wrong. Perhaps part of my delight in this haiku lies in the fact that I agree with him. Here he is saying one thing about realism-ripples are on a pond after a frog jumps in, but because it refers back to Basho and his famous haiku, he is also saying something about the haiku and authors who have followed him. We, and our work, are just ripples while Basho holds the honor of inventing the idea of "the sound of a frog leaping is the sound of water As haiku spreads around the world, making ripples in more and larger ponds, its ripples are wider-including us all. But his last word reminds us all that we are only ripples and our lives are ephemeral. It will be the frogs that will remain. ~~ And my tanka: returning home from a Jackson Pollock exhibition I smear my face with paint and turn into art ~~ -All love in isolation from Miami Beach, Florida. I now wish I hadn’t used the shrek font, but the OG video I edited is on a computer at my parents house and this video took an eternity to upload so I unfortunately do not have the spoons to change it. Please forgive the shrek font, I am now a seasoned and very✨ distinguished ✨adult who needs you to know that if I could I would change it 😭 but anyways, I’m so glad this has been enjoyed so much these past couple of years!

Yet listening to this put me to sleep without melatonin for the first time in a long time without being completely exhausted.

I Love Thee I love thee-I love thee! 'Tis all that I can say;- It is my vision in the night, My dreaming in the day; The very echo of my heart, The blessing when I pray: I love thee-I love thee! Is all that I can say. I love thee-I love thee! Is ever on my tongue; In all my proudest poesy That chorus still is sung; It is the verdict of my eyes, Amidst the gay and young: I love thee-I love thee! A thousand maids among. I love thee-I love thee! Thy bright hazel glance, The mellow lute upon those lips, Whose tender tones entrance; But most, dear heart of hearts, thy proofs That still these words enhance, I love thee-I love thee! Whatever be thy chance.
The best ASMR.
His speech is the finest I have heard.
