Evidenced by the fact that Tom's attacks are weaker when Jerry isn't there: He's not trying to catch an immortal being or a guy in a Halloween costume, he's trying to catch a mouse. Without a mouse to catch, what's the point? Why should Tom care about someone like Shaggy or Superman? He just wants to catch Jerry. It's a great concept, and when I get this game, they're gonna be my main.

Two things I like about the gameplay: 1) That the duo operate on a puppet fighter mechanic 2) The whole in-universe reason is that the two characters are actually fighting each other and it just so happen that people they actually supposed to fight just got caught in the crossfire.

Well that is how the cartoons were. Someone always got caught in between. Spike, his owners and some others come to mind. I remember a hen, a king and other cats. Lol

The animations in their movesets are definitely the most creative I've seen in a fighting game. They took their rivalry and turned it into attacks.

That is a VERY interesting way to incorporate Tom and Jerry into a duo character. They're not fighting you. You're just caught in the crossfire while they're chasing each other around the battlefield! Its GENIUS!!

Ok, I gotta say. When I first saw this timeless duo in the recent trailer, I legit thought “why are they here? What will they even do?” But after seeing their move set and the creativity behind their actions, I am gonna try to main them along with Taz, Jake, and Hopefuly the iron giant…if he gets the playable pass

It's absolutely amazing how Tom and Jerry are so preoccupied with fighting each other that they barely even notice any other fighters, i feel like whenever they win a match they pause for a moment and just go "uhhh..hooray?"

Probably the most creative moveset and character concept (being that they fight against each other and just hit everyone that's in their way unintentionally) in the game

It's so fitting to the characters that Tom & Jerry are more interested in chasing/fighting each other, and anyone else is just caught up in the middle of their slapstick shenanigans.

I can't imagine how hard it must've been to animate these two. You first need to think of a way for Tom to not only attack opponents, but also Jerry, and then animate two characters at once, with one needing to visibly dodge the other. That's not even mentioning the other stuff Jerry does like jumping on Tom's head to taunt him. Outstanding execution on these two from the devs.

I dabbled in some character animation, thanks to Super Smash Bros Brawl (via game modding). Jerry is mostly likely animated separately from Tom, which probably makes it even harder than animating them at once. Then you have the object animations, which are also animated separately! Side note: Sometimes whenever I animated a new move for Bowser (in Super Smash Bros Brawl), the game would crash upon selecting him, which destroys me on the inside, knowing how much hard work I put in to give him his dropkick forward smash from Smash 4 and Ultimate lol

I've always liked the fighters with unusual/unconventional ways for attacking that's why I main Kirbo and Pac-man, probably going full into Tom & Jerry when the game releases

I mean, it's not the hatred kind of hatred as much they're oddball best friends who trashtalk and outright disrespect each other on MOST occasions. Emphasis on MOST because there are plenty of episodes where Tom and Jerry *do* cooperate with each other. The infamous depressive episode with the train is the most iconic example of their camaderie and it's canon that Jerry and Tom ARE best friends and Jerry is the one who's trying to pull Tom away from simping for Toodles Galore (white she-cat) because she's not good for him. For several reasons. My favorite parts where they do work together is an episode where Lightning (orange cat) legitimately harms Jerry and forces Tom out of the house to replace him as Mammy Two-Shoes' household cat. As much as Lightning is a good boy most of a time it's funny and satisfying to see Tom and Jerry work together to beat the shit out of Lightning and take Mammy Two-Shoes' home back as her resident pets lol.

They could have just made Tom & Jerry act like allies within the confines of a single player (a la Duck Hunt) and no one would ever mind. That it's Tom & Jerry doing their usual rivalry as other players get hit via collateral damage is above and beyond impressive.

this is one of the best animated characters ive seen in a game based on the context of who they are. its amazing. also the psuedo Rosalina & Luma crossed with similar specials to Snake is crazy. i love that Jerry can shoot a projectile for you to smack back with Tom. also they i love that Tom has the original stock screams, its weird, but hilarious. especially THE Tom scream for getting KOd.

Seeing jerry dead doesn’t feel right.

This is by far one of the most charming and creative concepts/executions for a character in a fighting game I've seen in ages.

Jerry Is Dead is probably the darkest part of any Moveset Guide ever.

This game has by far some of the best characterization in all its animations, and tom and jerry are the pinnacle if that. Only thing i think is missing is Tom's iconic cartoon injuries. Like turning into an accordion after getting bonked by jerry, or getting flattened by a frying pan. Would be great if that was incorporated into their animations for attacking ot getting hit.

I just love the amount of effort put into these animations. Full of love of the source material

I actually love how they still have tom and jerry personality like how they always chase each other even tho ther in a battle, it's like they actually watch the cartoons and copy how tom and Jerry personality, like in the original cartoon whenever Jerry angers tom tom will always chase Jerry around until he gets him, even if there in a hunted house a space ship or even inside a volcano, it's actually amazing how there animation when attacking is Tom missing Jerry and Jerry dodging toms attack, it's just amazing, and the fact that they actually put toms iconic scream whenever he dies is just amazing tho, like nostalgia is hitting hard since I haven't seen this 2 in a while, actually amazing to see them in a crossover game. And I love how ther start up animation is Jerry hitting tom while he is sleeping, is one of the most iconic thing Jerry could ever do to make tom mad

Really creative character(s)! Having the two constantly fight each other in their moveset is both brilliant and hilarious, I doubt even Sakurai would've thought of it.

I like how all the fighters try to win the fight, while Tom and Jerry are fighting each other.

What surprised me the most is the fact this is actually a love letter to all WB universe instead of the cash-grab a lot of us expected.

Two ways to look at this: The two of them are fighting each other and everyone else is collateral damage Or Jerry is baiting Tom into fighting everyone else for his own entertainment, or hoping they'll beat up Tom.

It's worth mentioning that sending Jerry out is risky. He won't survive long if an enemy focuses on him, and if he dies, Tom's attack power will be reduced until he respawns.

I love how Tom is the one actually the one attacking and Jerry just helps him aim his attacks

The moment I saw the multiversus leak with Tom & Jerry I knew right away I was gonna main them regardless of what tier they were in and what gimmick they had I’m currently level 14 with them so far but they’re a lot of fun, I love managing both Tom and Jerry to deal damage across the stage, they’re basically the Rosalina and Luma of this game

Man I can't wait for someone to say,“ yeah, my Tom and Jerry is kinda nice with it."

Tom and Jerry's whole kit looks like it was ripped from potential DLC Smash moves and I AM HERE FOR IT! Also a lot of attention to detail to the animations like the eyebrows or eye direction. Makes All-Star Brawl look just like what it is, a bargain bin shovelware. And that death sound is legendary-

Tom and Jerry have always been and will always be my favorite Warner Bros. characters.

This is really impressive character design work. Framing all their moves as the pair fighting is genius.

The moveset potential, I love how specials change in the air and you can charge arials, there could be more voice clips though

This is actually great that they managed to include the "collateral damage" identity of Tom and Jerry as a fight mechanic.

Rosalina and Luma except they hate each other and commit collateral damage to every poor sap nearby. As somebody who was OBSESSED with Tom and Jerry growing up (shoutout to the Chuck Jones episodes especially!), I think these two have gotta be my favorites.

I'm just speechless as Tom's moveset has to be my most-favorite out of all of them so far as his moveset is similar to Ice Climbers & Duck Hunt from Smash Bros. in a way. I don't even mind whom the next character will be for you to post a video of MasterHyrule as I would be flattered to see any of them!😀 It's a miracle to be alive to experience viewing this game being made as I can see this selling so many units like Ultimate hopefully as the voice acting, sfx, & gameplay most of all totally FITS! 😄 I'm not sure why I'm sitting on the toilet as I get ready to go to Walmart to buy some snacks or whatever lol but I'm so intrigued how people can play this game so soon by having gameplay footage! 😰

As someone who watched the show as a kid, I absolutely LOVE Tom & Jerry's aesthetic. They're here to fight each other. Everyone else is just a casualty of their war. They are the Anti Rosalina & Luma.

this is a weird mix between duck hunt and ice climbers, and it's 10 times better, i love how well done are this duo, definitely want more of this game on this channel

They even have Snake's Nikita and can set a trap on the floor almost like snake!

Their victory animation is very wholesome Their entire moveset is frickin genius

Tom and Jerry have to be the greatest fighting game character in recorded history.

This defined one of the most creative ideas animating a character I have seen in any fighting game, Sugarpunch should do an Abi.Torial on this.

The way I see it, Tom and Jerry is like a combination of Snake and Rosalina & Luma. Yeah, imma use them.

Man this whole game just looks fun, every character looks incredible to play as

I am blessed that they added Tom’s screaming sound when he dies off-screen.

I suggest Doing Finn The Human Or Steven Universe next
