I came across this video on accident. I grew up knowing how to play this stuff note for note, but dude you have got a GREAT tone going there. Do you mind sharing your rig setup? Looks like the epiphone with dirty finger pickups I’m assuming. What kind of distortion are you running? There’s something special about Tom’s sound, because I can care less for any similar bands like Green Day, New Found Glory, or any pop punk band. I grew out of that shit, but the music on here is still so good to my ears, nothing can compare.
Muted due to copyright claims has to be his greatest riff

In my opinion the most underrated song is “Alone” from their first album Flyswatter. It’s not on any streaming service and even if you listen to it on KZread the quality is atrocious. An also, is one of the greatest Blink songs of all time, should have been on Cheshire Cat instead of Just about done.
Tom Delonge’s palm mutes were the biggest musical influence in high school.

the letters to god 2 riff is so epic. and well done on The Adventure riff!
Love the vids man. Great choices in this one!
Dumpweed is definitely one of my favorites by him. As well M + M, Emo, and of course Feeling it.
Amazing! One of my favorite riffs is the end of down that they played only at the shows! Man he really is a genius
God Bless you for putting M+Ms on number one, my favourite song of my favourite band. 💕
Stellar riff selections. I felt boring was played a bit off. Still loved it. Cheers
Kiss & Tell or Ghost on the dance floor are great riffs too!

Nice job. Ahhhhhh! I use to have a 2008 Gibson Tom Delonge Memphis Custom Shop. I can't believe I sold that. Even if the value hadn't gone through the roof lately, that was the best/easiest playing and lightest ES-333/335/345/355 guitar I'd played or owned. The potential for mod

@roymartin500

@@SugarpillProd I'm sorry, I didn't get a chance to finish my writing before I accidentally sent it during mid sentence ha! Damn, embarrassing. Yeah, the stupid reason I sold it is my friend came over to my garage to play some songs, he brought along his 04 Epiphone Dot Dregan Signature that had Gibson 57' Classic & Classic plus stock in them. His guitar was nice, had the cool Backyard Babies Skull & Cross Bones Band logo graphic on an antique ivory finish but was basically an Epi Dot with stock Gibson electronics and pick ups. My rig was/is an 04 Mesa Single Rectifier Series 2 Solo 50 Head w/Mesa Recto 2x12 cab and a Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Mayhem Pre Amp/Distortion & Boost pedal thru the FX loop. He brought a Fender combo. After playing for 30 minutes we switched guitars just for the heck of it and I fell in love with the Epi's tone through my rig. For some reason the more moderate output pups in the Epi let my rig breathe easier and it sounded better. My stupid ass didn't take into account that the Dirty Fingers was pushing a little too much compared to 57's plus I didnt need that Pre amp boost in the FX loop so I ignored how the great Gibson Delonge played, felt, looked and could've just dropped in a 57' in the Delonge but no, I sold it and have gone through alot of guitars chasing the feeling of the Delonge. Sorry bout the length of this and thanks for letting me share. I dig your playing and tone. Keep up the fantastic work!
