    Tom Delonge has a really fun and exciting guitar tech. Most guitar techs are either rude or don't explain much. Like if you seen Green Day's rig rundown, Billie joes guitar tech was chewing his gum louder than a frickin gun

    Ryan Fears his current tone is fine in the studio, but live, not so much, partially because he doesn't mic his amps. And I think that his old setup blows the doors off his current one. And I don't understand why he didn't go back to his old setup with the Strats and Mesas and Marshalls when Blink got back together. Because, that setup fit Blink pretty well, and his setup with the Voxes and Fenders is more suitable for AVA

  • @zaysef

    His guitar sounds like crap now since he runs straight to PA. He’s not getting the full tone of the AC 30 and because of that, and he is losing low end. Now it sounds like he is playing through a radio with a crappy mic the whole time. Some times so band that you can’t even hear the guitar.

    My friend worked on the road for 10 years. Roadies have such an unhealthy lifestyle and a lot of them party harder than the band themselves. It's a side of the business no one talks about. After a tour ends the band gets to go home, but most road guys will go straight onto another tour. There is no break from the madness, mental and physical health issues are very common.

  • @raymon8044

    @ 2:26 'and what will happen' is you'll get an amprig that sounds like shit.. Getting the sound from an actual speaker is a big part of how an amplifier sounds. They could have gone with those 'iso-boxes' where they have a speaker miced up in a closed box so you won't have any bleed from anything at all and just get a nice isolated guitar sound... DI works for acoustics and maybe a blend signal for bass, dont hook up a bunch of legendary amps up to it to bypass the speakers on them. That would be like replacing an iconic member of a band or something

  • @cradddockdude1998

    @cradddockdude1998

    7 жыл бұрын

    Raymon those palmer DI's have analog speaker simulation. Granted it doesn't sound as good as micing up the amp but it's a good solution to avoid problems with the guitar. Matt skiba doesn't even use real amps live. He uses as kemper, as does Mark.

    Tak jdem na to, než zase pustí nějakou sc*čku. Ok, tak pojd'me na to! Tom kombinuje tyto dva páry komb dvě Fender Twin komba a dva Vox AC30 Jsou písničky, třeba začátek Violence, které zní jakb staré AM rádio - jsou hodně zkreslené. To hraje pouze na tyhle dva Voxy se speciálním efektem Jinak jde většinou zkreslený i čistý zvuk ze všech čtyř najednou Ale na začátku některých písní slyšíte jen 2 z nich... Většina kytar jde přes tenhle G-Force v něm je spousta efektů, ale máme tu i tenhle Eddie Van Halen Flanger. Takový ten vlnivý zvuk je z něj. Dále je tu A/B box, takže mohou běžet obě vysílačky najednou. Tom rád dělával to, že říznul do kytary, když jsem mu podával jinou, takže jsme nikdy neztratili signál. Brnkne, já mu podam druhou a nikdy tam není hluché místo. Není to složity rig, ale zní naprosto skvěle. Toto jsou hlavní DI, a třeba když hraje na akustickou kytaru, jede to přes tohle. Hlavní ale je, že poberou reproduktorový signál, takže před ně nemusíme dávat mikrofony. Tím pádem nechytáme zvuk z pódia -z činelů, basy atd. Máme tak pěkný, čistý kytarový zvuk. Který jde rovnou do odposlechů a do lidí. -Takže už nezvučíte aparaty mikrofonem? -Vůbec ne, tohle se o to postará. Protože, tady máš mikrofonní vstupy. Tom tak má zřetelný zvuk pro sebe a stejně tak to jde i do lidí. I když strčíš mikrofony dovnitř Travis hraje tak nahlas, protoze je monstrum, že se tam ty činely stejně dostanou. Kdyz se koukneš sem, to je jack, který by normálné vedl do repráků. -Cím simulujete zvuk reproduktorů? -Pořád mám věrohodný zvuk preampů, jenom to přes reproduktor nejde ven. Ale pořád tam je ten pravý zvuk Voxe i Fendera, aniž by to řvalo ven. Další věc je, že tyhle komba dáváme hodně nahlas, takže by se dělo, že by zpíval, pak by popošel na stranu a zpěvové mikrofony by nabraly všechen ten rámus. -Jasně. Tom dřív hodne hrával na aparáty Mesa Boogie, je to tak? -Anó na Mesa Boogie a Marshall. -Proč uz je nepoužíváte? Došlo k tomu, že když jsme natáčeli, začal se mu líbit zvuk těchto komb. A Vox má tak pěkny zvuk. Vzpomen třeba na Briana Maye z Queen -jeden z nejlepšich zvuků na světě. Takže jsme začali používat tohle ve studiu a Tomovi to prostě sedlo. Většinou jsme použili do Angels and Airwaves, ale pak to prošto i sem. Opravdu se mu ten zvuk líbí. Samozřejmě nic proti Mese a Marshallu stále jsme skvělí přátelé a vždycky je budeme k smrti milovat. Ale můžeš si všimnout, že nová tvorba Blinků už není tak drsná a Mesa je prostě metal. Máme je rádi. Už zase.. Všechny jsou jako Gibson, akorát byly upravené přímo pro Toma, takže mají jeden snímač, jeden potenciometr. Velmi "hot" zvuk. Ani bys nevěřil, jak s tím pracuje. Trochu jsme si pohráli s designem, takže nějaký ten sprej a trochu pálení. Jedna z mých nejoblíbenějších je tahle. Má na sobě dost modřin a lepicí pásky, Tom se na ní podepsal tímhle symbolem. Vždycky je trochu spálíme. A znějí skvěle. Akustiky tu nemáme ty ma většinou v šatně, aby se mohl rozehrát před koncertem, rozezpívat se s nimi a tak. Dříve jsme stavěli ještě druhou stage, na které zahráli 3-4 písničky jen akusticky věci, které nehráli roky jako třeba "Going away to college", "Dysentery Gary", "Dick lips" všechny ty oblíbené skladby. Zde je jeho pedalboard. -Přepíná si zvuky sám, nebo to děláš za něj? -Ne ne, přepíná si je sám. Tohle je "Custom Audio Electronics" od jednoho z největších géniů v hudebním průmyslu Boba Bradshawa. Je v tom 36 bank a 4 presety pro každy z nich. Nastaví se tedy jednotlivé songy -s tím souvisejí tato čísla na playlistu. Každá písnička má své vlastní efekty jako Delay, Flanger, Chorus a tak. On najde číslo daného songu a díki MIDI signálu tam má efekty, které potřebuje. Takže se to snadno používá naživo. Kolik presetů tedy naživo využije? -Zhruba okolo deseti. Dříve používal dvě banky a 4 presety ale ted' má asi 10 bank a 4 plné presety, které jdou po sobě: Dirty, Clean, D+ je Dirty a ještě je k němu přidaný Flanger a C+, což je Clean s Flangerem. Dále je tu extra Distortion a extra Boost, když mu přijde, že to dost netlačí. -Super, to byl Doug, díky za tvůj čas, moc si toho ceníme. -Díky, kluci, že jste přišli. Přijdete na koncert, ne? -Jo, jo. -To byste teda měli! Díky kluci, cením si toho...

    Guys i am really new to playing electric guitar and no nothing of how amp works. I recently am trying to purchase peavey studio pro 112 from one of my mates as i really liked how clean the sound is, i have been playing acoustic guitar for almost 19 years. Can someone reading this comment please guide me to know the basic of the amps and how to build a rig like this one?? Thanks.

    Soundman talking drivel. On that set up they're not getting any 'cab sound' unless the DI boxes are feeding a cab sim box.

    I don't think he understood the question or didn't want to give away any secrets but yeah that explanation sucked balls. Mind you I don't know what their sound is like now, but this looks a shit pretentious rig....

    I love Tom, but I hate how he just ruins the fuck out of the exterior. I get it doesn't affect to tone whatsoever, but just the thought that he sat down and started ripping the grill and beating and tearing the outside just makes me cringe.

    Even though it somehow ruins the looks of his guitars and amplifiers and yes looks incredibly destructive. though it looks cool. But at least it's his rig,he can do nasty stuffs on his gear to add a little bit of visuals.
