TheEmcee For me is Tom Cruise, he bascially hangs 800m in the air with 1 "rope" I don't know what those secure things are called but anyway they can slip and he goes down and smashes on the ground like a sack of potatoes. So high in the sky the wind is actually strong so he can be slammed into the glass too. Furious 7 there is stunt man for basically everything and the cars with the stunt people have enough of parachutes if one doesnt work the others will 100%.. Want more crazy? Seen the new MIssion Impossible trailer? Tom Cruise hangs from a airplane 2500m in the *ucking air. That tops my list, holy cow.

TheEmcee This will look pedestrian to his latest stunt in MI 5. He is hanging from the side of a plane as it takes off.

What really made this scene work for me is the fact that Tom Cruise ACTUALLY climbed up the Burj Khalifa himself. No stuntman involved, no CGI. Just Cruise himself. Overall, I consider this scene to not only be the best scene in the whole movie, but the best scene in the entire Mission: Impossible franchise period.

Running vertical down the tallest building in the world at speed, when a stunt double could just do it for you is exactly why Tom Cruise is one of the greatest actors ever.

He actually did this... FUCKING LEGEND

I was sitting comfortably in my living room watching this clip and enjoying the scene until Cruise got out of the window and the camera made that incredible travelling around his head and revealed the height of the building. I felt like I was going to faint! I had to stop the clip and try to breathe normally again. And this guy actually did it for real!!!!

"Blue is glue." "And what is red?" "Dead." And then I love how Ethan looks at him like "WTF did you just say?" Also I love the "Are you f*cking kidding me?" look that he gives Benji at the end

Don't be fooled by Imax. There was a time they advertised movies and would say filmed in 100% Imax. This movie was filmed in such a way. Overall. I am disappointed since then. Imax stopped advertising that and to me their movies been very lame since.

Out of all this scene the best line comes from Benji "That was not easy but I did it " 😆😆

One of the brilliant things about Cruise doing this crazy stuff, is he's never full throttle about it (character wise) Ethan always shows fear and hesitation when putting his life on the line to complete a mission. I also love how Benji jumps the minute Ethan starts to ascend.

Lol. I just presumed due to the height and sun people would keep it closed, and it is sound proof windows! That said the one part someone shpuld really notice is when he came running down lol. Took me awhile to conquer my fear of using a ladder in the stock warehouse at work lol. Whole new level here.

This scene was very hard and extremely scarey for me to watch. What balls Tom Cruise has to do this stunt. I know it was done safely but it was still high up plus the stress and the elements (wind), to deal with, WOW!! They could have green screened it or CGI and probably couldn't tell the difference. But the fact that TC really did it just goes to show ya his professional veteran acting skills as well as him providing his fans with the ultimate experience in the real money shot(s). This is how he justifies his big pay checks. Hahaha. He definitely earned his pay checks in all the mission impossible movies.

And Bond, to a lesser extent. MI is essentially a sexed-up spiritual successor to Bond (since Bond became less about spectacle and more about grit and grime). Uncharted and the Tomb Raider reboot games play off these ideas beautifully.
