In this fight, Ilsa had a lot of opportunities to simply kill him. Anyway, in the movie, it seemed to me Ilsa Faust was tired of living. She continued to be disavowed by her superiors; she had become a big target for bounty hunters; she was for a seemingly long time hiding in a shithole located in a wasteland.

@@MarceloWerlangdeAssis so true, ilsa was definitely the most interesting character left in the franchise (and also by far the most beautiful woman of the whole saga), full of development possibilities, and they just wrote her off in a shitty and pointless way, totally inconsistent with her character development and not even affecting the plot: even the emotional power this could have had was totally taken away by the sudden replacement by such a lame character as Grace (dumb and unattractive face, totally useless on a skill level, always saved by ethan or absurd deus ex machina (including Ilsa choosing sacrifice for her without even a shadow of reason to do so), stupid to the point of irritation: all she does is just standing next to ethan like a fucking idiot and doing some shitty pickpocketing every New Dehli 11 years old would be capable of, such an apocalyptic downgrade not only compared to Ilsa, but even to Ghost Protocol's Jane Carter). No way Mc Quarrie made this shit by his own choice, there's surely something behind it. Ps. I'm pretty sure the tired and disappointed face we see on Ilsa was just the embodiement of Rebecca Ferguson's disappointment towards whoever came up with this bullshit.

He is being a good friend...she is experiencing struggles in her personal life right now. She tells him she loves him (platonic)...he tells her he loves her too (platonic) She whispers something and he tells her "it's ok" "it's ok" He then tells her to "have a good time" "Have a good time" ...then he says "lets go"

I've never heard about her personal struggles. Makes more sense that she just struggles to be ok with the bullshit way her character was written off. Being replaced by Hayley Atwell's dumb-looking (and not just looking if you ask me) character is not a thing I would be amused of too. Honestly if I was her I would have refused to be part of this shitty movie if I had to do it just to have a fate worse than simply disappearing as Jeremy Renner did.

I felt the same way. Not that she needed it tho. I always wonder if she feels bad about being written off in such a shitty way after being apparently closer to Tom than any other actress working in the franchise (or even with Tom in general considering last 10-15 years). I honestly would be upset if they fucked my character like that (not only was one of her best characters ever, was also the one who gave her fame so i guess she can have an emotional connection to it too).

I'm sure of one thing.. If she would just tell him: "let's be together". That would be it, he wouldn't think twice. And I'm talking about a serious matter, the two of them have been acting this way for years when they're close to each other.. Acting is one thing, chemistry is another.. There was never any "promo acting" between them. This is the real thing.
