cedonullidude+ Sad how true that might be... Tom definitely deserves better. But maybe him not being an elite is why he’s so special and lovable! Most Hollywood stars are straight up jerks. Tom definitely sticks out and is separated from the pack. Which is why I find him to be one of the most righteous guys on the planet. The dude is just full of life and happiness. Not to many those floating around these days lol

ENZOtaki He did great job (I particularly liked the Mad Dog Tannen character in BTTF III) and he comes across as a genuine decent guy.

He played Coach Fredricks in Freaks and Geeks. The character was becoming more prevalent in the show before it was canceled.

Tom Wilson played 7 characters in the back to the future trilogy. And he made each character unique and believable. It’s not talked about enough that he’s an incredibly versatile actor

Totally! He was so good in any one given role in the series, but to play 7 different shades of the same character type is way tough, he was just fantastic

What comes to acting, the skill, yes. I agree. All 3 movies, i always amazed his ability to perform, how clear his style was, so much work put to his profession and it showed.

Brandon Evans I agree. If u watch it today, Michael J. Fox was basically “Alex Keaton” in the 50s lookin’ for his parents. Tom really had to dig deep to portray a bully, make him funny, and kinda likeable at the same time. No easy trick.

You can tell that Tom REALLY impressed Dave, as well as the crowd. He totally won them over. In fact, his personality and sense of humour reminds me of Jim Carrey.

In the first interview I think Dave isn’t that impressed. Dave has a way with people he’s not that keen on and the first interview to me shows that. The second one though, Dave is happier about him being on.

In all 3 movies, he shows what a great actor he is, because he always plays more than one role. Remember, he was middle-aged Biff and teen Biff even in I; then in II, he was 3 different ages; and he is hilarious as Mad Dog Tannen! Another personality altogether from the other characters of himself! Very underrated for his magnificent contributions to those films!

Jon Dunmore absolutely, but I feel watching when I was a kid, mad dog was the one who really seemed the most intimidating and at the same time impressive, even though as a kid the part 3 was my least favorite of the trilogy, still is, but I’ve come to appreciate it so much more and am still impressed with how unrecognizable Tom Wilson is while doing that performance

I can't believe this is the same man who played Biff! Polar opposite personalities! That is the sign of an excellent, top rate actor!

Guy is super talented. Way more deserving of celebrity than the bums of the present.

He still posts vlogs on KZread, I love keeping up with him, he's such a genuine and kind person.

I love Tom Wilson. He paints so nice and does so many great voices on Spongebob Square pants and other cartoons too.

I would love to meet this guy so I can ask him "what's Michael J Fox like?". Tom seems like a genuine person, very down-to-earth. Best line of the interview: "Dave, more than that, people need B2TF III." What a way to go out of an interview!

Tom has a really good charisma and confidence talking on shows and his a really good actor, a really underrated actor

Biff Tannen is GOAT of villains

He's the completely opposite of his character and he is so charming! Very funny and friendly!

He's so good at being mean Biff, that's weird to see him being funny.

I watched the trilogy just y/day, I still enjoy them so much. Best 3 Movies ever made.!

I loved that when he did Arnold. "It's the best movie of all times!!!"

He always reminded me of the lead singer of Madness, Suggs McPherson.

I like how his face goes back to a look of almost shock as he’s asked a question. No trace of Biff Tannen in there whatsoever.

This dude is so funny. I’ve watched two or three interviews of his, always wondering why he’s not in so much more.

Honestly rewatching BTTF3, after the first 5 minutes I forgot it's Biffs great grandfather and just saw Beaufort Tanned. Definitely not just an actor that plays himself.

Looks like Gary Busey. Antics and smile SO reminiscent of Jim Carrey.

Funny guy. He has done some stand-up gigs where he poked fun at himself and his role in BTTF.

He likes that haircut. still has it in 2020

Talented supporting cast always makes a good movie a great movie!!

Tom was awesome in the Bttf trilogy. He's funny like crazy. He must've been a great hang out.

He’s a super intellectual guy who is also an accomplished painter. He’s the polar opposite of biff

He is so funny and what a, not good, great talk show guest. He's engaging, impressive, and the audience is immediately responsive. There's no awkward periods of silence. This was thoroughly enjoyable.

I just checked his IMDB page. He continues to get work. Good for him.

His versatility with all his roles was fantastic.

One of my favorite film characters of all time he was just brilliant. Referring to all his rolls in the Back To The Future trilogy.

"Helloooooo", he started with the "hellooooo Mackflyyyyy, and it has been going on till this day, 2023!!!!

Butthead!

BTTH is my favorite movie and Thomas Wilson and his character, Biff, was just as important to the film's success as Crispin Glover as George McFly was. His acting and interpretation of a memorable 50s bully was spectacular. Unfortunately, he did such a great job with the role and his character was so memorable that it kind of kept him from getting main roles later in his career.

Toms second appearance was really good. He made David laugh genuinely. I actually think Tom could have been a successful stand up comedian, had he not put all his effort in the movie business

He has been seared into my memory from Back to The Future! Awesome guy

Tom is the man of 1000 faces. Every one of his characters in the trilogy looks and feels unique, and all so different than the actual person. Wonderfully skilled actor.

Reminds me of young Jim Carey

Hes such a down to earth guy. I reckon he had a lot of fun playing a bully. He really embodied the character also managed to give him slot of depth. You get to see him as a bully, bullied and weak, old, savage, bitter, goofy.

Wow, he was a great guest! Funny, engaging and still humble. Amazing he could be so arrogant and obnoxious as “Biff.”

I remember when I was nine years old, in 1998, and was so scared by Rich Biff in Back to the Future 2 that I couldn't see those films for years. Wish I'd had the internet to see what a nice guy he is and it was just acting :)

It’s the alternate timeline where Young Biff is nice and successful, after Marty decided to go back and fix the Tannen family’s history of acting like buttheads 😄

This guy played some of the best movie characters of all time but I will never understand why he never got big roles after BTTF trilogy.

this was a really cool interview. I know it's mostly scripted but Tom Wilson in real life seems to be a real all around good person and actor. in this interview, he seemed really confident, clever, and putting a great personality to a bully's character. It's fun to see the other side of the character.

Most underatted actor ever

He’s pretty funny and actually handsome

The interviewing style between the first and second appearance is night and day. Basically Dave bottled Tom up in their first interview, quickly asking the next question, no riffing etc. In the second interview the producers must of told Dave to banter more / “let this guy go”. Tom is a brilliant storyteller and very comically entertaining

When I watch this interview, sometimes it's hard to believe to match Mr. Wilson to Biff, because we know he was like a huge bully in Back to the Future, It's the first interview I have seen with Mr. Wilson, such a delightful person, I wish he was casted more. Unless he didn't want to be? I dunno, anyway, thanks for the video. His talent is great for an actor and as a person. Kind of like a comedian, but a great soul, you can tell he is nervous in the video. I would be. Talking to Mr. Letterman, an Icon, anyone would get nervous.
