@@zineguri8515If the mom really wanted to she could always use the wedding as an excuse for both revenge and to teach her daughter that her dad is horrible, move somewhere with no cameras that saying she want s to “talk” to the bio dad, claim it was to tell him to stay away from her and her daughter. But really use it as an excuse to begin beating on the guy or worse if the mom is inclined and just say it was self defense. More often then not if such a claim is made people will take the woman’s side even if sufficient evidence is provided and with the bio dad’s history of doing it to the mom before absolutely no one would believe him that he was innocent. Anyone saying that this is horrible, 2 things. 1.) this has happened in real life, an example was a woman punching herself in the face to claim her husband was physically abusive but was shown she did it herself in an elevator which happened to have a camera. 2.) in the previous case people believed the man was guilty up until the video but the woman got off with only a slap on the wrist. So even if the man is proven to be innocent mom risks like in terms of legality matters, and those around her might believe she did the right thing by trying to get a monster off the streets and especially away from her daughter. And yes the world is a messed up place, as for why I thought of that scenario, combination of watching castle and creative writing.

I don't think that it's that simple, whilst yes the conception of the child happened in the most abhorrent and horrific of circumstances she is still a human,a human who's entire life has been lacking connections, sense,an understanding of who they are etc. It's not as simple as saying, well hey ,you're Germanic and slavic if the child is for an example half Nigerian, it doesn't mean that the girl should connect with her bio father however it does mean that she might have a need to connect to Nigerian roots, learn the language etc. kind of bypassing Mr.Grapist and still connecting to their origin. It's a very horrible situation for everyone involved to be in and there are no happy steps down f*ck lane. I think that having a person other than the parents to support her might be a better option as they are too close and too involved to not get absolutely slaughtered in this mess.

I believe I heard this story before. After the mom refused to be at the wedding, the daughter demanded to know why the mom wouldn’t show up at the wedding over a small incident. Apparently, the daughter was in contact with her biological dad who told her it was just a small argument. After some pushing, the mom confessed to the SA to the daughter who did not take this well. She ran to her bio dad and demanded to get answers. He confessed that Yes he did SA her. The daughter tried to apologize through a diner but didn’t NOT tell her mom that the dude would be there too. The mother shouted and was going to storm out of the restaurant but the dude grabbed her arm. This triggered a panic attack and collapse and tried to get away while hyperventilating and the dude tried to calm her down but it only made things worse for the mom. Paramedics were called and unfortunately I don’t remember the details afterwards. If I’m right, she cut contact with her daughter after that

I don’t get why the mother didn’t reveal this truth too her daughter a lot sooner. The girl obviously found out who her true bio dad was and let her have a relationship with him. Yet it was only when her daughter sent out her wedding invitation that she finds out the truth. This is really messed up. To me this is something you tell your child when they’re around 15-18 years old. If they ask you earlier you simply say “your bio dad hurt mommy and I’ll tell you the full story when you’re (-) years old”. Kids deserve to know the truth and OP obviously never pressed charges on this man

As an adopted child, this is why I advocate for adoption especially in grape cases and believe strongly in protecting abortion rights. As also a victim of violent grape there’s no way I could have kept a child that resulted from that attack. Pain, resentment, anger, and even fear towards that child all are normal and valid feelings. I can’t imagine anyone demanding that you face your attacker at your own child’s wedding. I wouldn’t go and I think this is where I’d tell her to choose a parent and live with her decision.

Rest of the story: The mother thought if she should tell her daughter about why she was not comfortable about her bio dad being there Later the mother talks about the grape incident and that being the reason why she didn’t want him attending her wedding the daughter agrees. Day of the wedding; Mother arrives and guess what the grapist is there she gets a panic attack so runs out so the daughter gets to her and asks why she ran out mother is angry / upset that the daughter still invited the grapist and asks her why she did that daughter says she wanted her to get used to him and then tells her that he said that it was consensual and to get over it mother angry and betrayed left her wedding Unsure: And i think her therapist told her to write it down so she can let her feelings out

And we never allowed those criminals to see the babys' faces simply bcz they don’t deserve to. Those conservative illiterate women always thanked her for finding the correct terminology and concept that they were unable to find and adapt to. And as a bio major, yk that the genes not only pass the appearance but also knowledge and intelligence plus certain behaviours bcz most behavioural patterns and thought processes are ingrained by our nervous chemicals? So, ig it's safe to say in this certain scenario that "the apple didn't fall far from the tree"

I'm ruthless with the truth, especially when it comes to trauma. I would have wound up putting it into a context the daughter could understand. (sorry for the wall of text but I had to get this out being a survivor of SA myself) "So, would you want someone around you who brutally shoved an implement into your body that ripped you apart from the inside out, making you feel the worst pain imaginable and having to endure it for what seemed like an _eternity_ and left broken, bleeding and crying when he was done. Then afterward you felt as if you were worth less than the shit that comes out of worms. Worthless, useless, powerless, hopeless. That you'd never be free, fear gripping you at seeing any shadow moving in the darkness, jumping at any random sound thinking you're going to be attacked again. And the feelings, even now, even after decades of therapy and learning to cope are _still_ there because while your body might have healed, your heart and soul has been forever scarred and will _always_ remember. Would you want someone that made you go through that to be around you? I love you a lot, but I fought long and hard to learn to love myself again too. Hell I'm _still_ fighting that war, and I'm not about to lose just because you want the object of my nightmares to be at your wedding. I'm not going to put myself through a silent living Hell to be around him. I hope your day is happy, I hope it's beautiful and full of joy for you. But if he's there, I won't be, this is a hard boundary I have to set for my own sanity."

This is why you should be age appropriately honest with your kids. The daughter has had her life obliterated while she was trying to work things out. The mom let her daughter reach out and get close to her rapist father. Then has the audacity to treat her like crap about it. She only told her the truth after people told her she should. She admittedly isn't close to her daughter because she is the product of rapw. She drops the truth on her daughter. Then is shocked when her daughter tries to have her work it out with the bio dad? That man convinced everyone it was consensual when it happened. He probably convinced the daughter it wasn't as bad as OP was saying. Of course the daughter will give him the benefit of the doubt. Her mother has lied to her and treated her differently her entire life. Then her mom tells her siblings who make public statements that wreck her entire life. And everyone is siding with OP? I'm sorry she was assaulted, but she had over 20 years to get therapy, be honest, work on her relationship with her youngest, etc. She didn't do squat until now. After she blew up her child's life. After she let her child get close to a rapist. If I knew someone was a rapist I would not let my child get close to them. She should have told her child the truth when her child was planning on reaching out to the first bio relative. She gets all the support while her child is all alone with THE RAPIST! This woman is awful.

This is a fake story. You didn't know you were pregnant until 20 weeks. SURE. I have 2 kids and you can feel the baby start to kick at around 15 weeks. Not to mention between weeks 1 to 20, you experience, missing period, morning sickness, food cravings, mood swings, growing belly, etc.

You can google it. There are cases of people not knowing they're pregnant until they're in labour! Don't experience lack of periods or show signs of weight gain for the whole pregnancy.

Probably took that as a sign of depression and stress as they are more over the same symptoms, and after being raped depression is granted

Maybe she was too disturbed and depressed to notice and associated whatever symptom she got with her trauma. I mean can you really think clearly in a situation like that ? Also many babies remain still for the duration of the pregnancy........or maybe it was just a me thing
