In today's Tokyo vlog, i will be sharing where we Ikebukuro (池袋) is not an area with many second-hand clothing stores, but if you look around, you will find unique and high-quality second-hand clothing stores. Another interesting thing about Ikebukuro's second-hand clothing stores is that they have a wide range of items to see, from cheap second-hand clothing to special vintage clothing. also We went to pizza restaurants and ate, and look around Ikebukuro on scooters." Everybody should own a copy of John Waters' book 'Role Models', if only for the EPIC chapter on Rei Kawakubo and Comme de Garcons. She knew John was a huge fan and buyer of her work so whenever a new season/new range of products were ready to be shipped into store she'd personally telephone John and in her broken whispery Japanese would simply say something gnomic like 'the new work is ready' then hang up. Meanwhile, due to the time difference John would be half asleep at 7am, wondering 'who WAS THAT?! What did THAT mean?!' It would take a while for the penny to drop but eventually he figured it out. How cool to have a designer call you the second they're ready with something for you, no matter the time difference?! Just that they'd think of you, knowing that you were a GENUINE lover and supporter or their work. The book is superb, highly recommend it as an easy to digest, fantastically interesting travel read for the shinkansen and kissatens. Great way to pass the time. Also a great video here Kimchi! (But you already know I am YOUR John Waters). 😆✌✌
