So thankful this movie was brought back, or I would have never been fortunate enough to see it. I can't say enough how blown away I was by the visuals, the vocals, and the entire beautiful storyline! Carrie was such an understated powerhouse in this film, delivering both levity and deep expression with such ease. What an all-around celebration of talent!

I owned this on VHS back in the day. One of my all-time faves. Alas, not sure where I can find it now...

you'd think the owners of the Buffy Vampire IP would have the clout to get this onto disc. Maybe not a priority for anyone? Or Maybe music rights is the hassle?

Saw this briefly at Anime Expo in 4K before they closed the panel! It’s a really good film! It’s a good mix of American and Japanese cultures, and it looks like it will be getting a release eventually as they’re going to show it in various other locations.

Favorite movie of all time.

Még most is megvan VHS kazettán, pont a napokban néztem meg. :) Régen nagyon tetszett, most csak nosztalgiázom. :)

This movie was made around the same year as Katsuhiro Otomo was making his anime film AKIRA (1988), god I wish this film had a short clip appearance of AKIRA while Carrie and Yutaka walk by a Japanese film theater.

Wow I saw that on the telly when I was a kid, have been looking for this for years. All that I could remember was the hair style of the girl, and the song at the ending….It goes…. I don’t wanna let you go, I just wanna let you know…..something like that.😅

Filmmaker mentioned a digital distribution but i don’t think it’ll ever happen. I ripped my vhs copy into digital and enhanced the colors alittle to my taste. I’d like to screen this film here in LA in an independent cinema, but I’m afraid noone will come 😞 Should I anyway?
