🥢 All tracks are inspired by or from countries around Asia (Japan 🇯🇵️, South Korea 🇰🇷️, China 🇨🇳️, Philippines 🇵🇭️ & Cambodia 🇰🇭) We've been planning this one since last year, but we wanted to make sure it was done right! Hope it was worth the wait (Also the reason for the 2 week interval)

I asked permission from my boss to play this at Work(I work at a Dunkin Donuts) and so many people actually loved the music and vibe to where people asked who was playing it and my boss pointed towards me and people started to thank me for making their days 100x better and also for mellowing them out too. Shootout to y'all for this though! Y'all deserve it!

The dialogue at 5:16 takes me back to when I studied abroad in Japan. I miss the trains so much. I could never reach the ceiling handles so I always had to sit down in a seat or hold onto one of the metal poles. Here's probably the most memorable story from when I was on one of the trains: It was our last night in Japan, and we were leaving to go back to America in the morning. A friend and I had gone to see Tokyo Tower, and we were trying to find a train station. It was getting to be time for the last train of the day. Our plane was leaving tomorrow morning. Eventually, we ran into a very nice lady who helped us out (she spoke some English, also, which was nice). Together, the three of us found the train station. When we got there, the doors were about to close. The woman and my friend happened to get on first. As the doors started closing, I was internally screaming because I thought I was going to be stranded there. Then, this woman grabbed my hand and pulled me onto the train. I owe this person a lot. If it weren't for her, I would've been stranded at a train station in Tokyo for...I don't know how long.

isolation isn’t always a bad thing. some of us have too much thoughts that can’t be spoken of. no, I’m not saying we need to be isolated forever, that can cause anxiety and depression, but what I am saying is that being quarantined is a relaxation for the body and mind. I’m enjoying it a bit too much if I say so myself. Being alone, no need to work and stress yourself out is comfortable. We should be quarantined once a month. Why you may ask? Well, there’s a lot of bad things going around because of the virus, but also good things are started to appear! That’s all I have in mind for this comment. Thank you and have a great day/night. (^-^)

I spent a year studying in Tokyo. I was able to speak Japanese from day one as I had studied on the internet beforehand. For an entire year I lived just like a Japanese university student, surrounded by the friends I had made there. I spoke nothing but Japanese, learning many new things I hadn't known before. This made me feel very at home. We organized the uni festival together and celebrated accordingly afterwards. These friends are very dear to me and it's awesome to see what paths in life they have taken. A good Japanese friend of mine whom I advised on language learning in her first year of university is now part of the Foreign Ministry of Japan making good use of her knowledge about languages. It's really heartwarming. I would take the train inbound to Tokyo Central every other day to either head to my part-time job or hang with my friends. Eating at Sukiya, grabbing that godly iekei-ramen or hitting the karaoke place in Musashisakai, or optionally in Shinjuku if we felt like taking the train ride. People would sleep on my shoulders after my part-time shift at a bar in Kichijoji right before midnight in the last train heading to my station and sometimes I would fall asleep too (sorry!). The keikyu beat in this mix reminds of all of that. The sounds at the stations. My IC-card I would swipe at the gate. Or when I sometimes forgot to recharge it and got the red light and had to apologize and quickly charge my card with a 1000 yen bill. All of that. It's great. Please visit Japan while respecting the people and the country.

Yo! Which parts? I work in this type of field. For the signs, it's a switch between two images. Think of every layer as a pancake as they can stack on top of each other :)

Lester Knight not just as simple as you may think, there are also 2D particle effects under the street lights, similar to a fog. But you have the right idea for the lighting, it is just one image is photoshopped to have the lights “on” and it switches to this following frames. If “off” is played for 30 frames on a 30fps playback speed, it plays for one second. If it is to turn on for less than a second you would set the next set of frames to all have the light “on” and flicker, set for around 5 frames in bursts. If you want the light “on” for a longer time its the same principle for it to flicker “on” or “off”. This can be done to the whole scene by making various different images of the same scene with all the different lights either on or off. The fog can just be a gif that fits the scene on a separate layer. Hope this gives you an idea!
