Thank you for the video. I just have one question: Is the "100 yen per meter" sale applicable to all the fabrics sold at the Tomato Shop(s), or is it just a deal on certain fabrics?

Thank you for watching!yes on certain fabrics but I noticed that the one I used to buy in our local shop so expensive was one of the 100 yen.in Japan we usually go for sale if the stocks is limited or our of season.as I checked !all fabrics are good quality and unique.

@@briggs67 That’s great news then! My mom does patchwork, but Japanese fabrics are expensive to buy here, so I hope I can guide her around Nippori to help her find some good-value and high-quality fabrics. Thank you for your speedy reply!🙏🏻 A long-standing dream of ours has been to visit Japan.🇯🇵 Hopefully, we can make that happen soon🙏🏻🙌🏻

There a a few Tomato stores in Nippori. The outlet has a selection of 100yen rolls at the entrance, but the fabric in the rest of the store is more expensive. There’s barely any cotton for patchwork in that store. The 5 floor Tomato has some discounted quilting cotton on the first floor. There are more Japanese cottons on the 2nd floor and imported quilting cottons on the 5th floor (which are expensive). You can buy small amounts of fabric though and there are stores that have bundles or fat quarter size pieces.

@@tokidokiteacher659 Hello & thank you so much for the detailed information. I did not expect the store to carry a lot of 100-yen fabric, but at least now I know that it is actually a really rare find. I will make sure that we pay attention to the floors for a better shopping experience in Nippori. My mom and her friends are used to buying and exchanging fabric bundles, so that might be a good option for us, too. Thanks again for pitching in with your comment🙏🏻
