And this has absolutely nothing to do with feeding my ego. I have taught at least 2800 pianists in my life. Many became orchestral musicians or pianists in their own right. This is just a laughing matter trimmed for TV.

To be a good pianist you have to feel the notes, this guy is the only person i have ever seen keep his eyes close and feel every note, understand and just play his heart out, such an amazing performance

Imagine how the crowd feels the bass hitting their chest... the emotion in that moment I can feel it through the screen image that live in person woah 😨

I have never seen a musician so magical in my 54 yrs of life. Every piece played he becomes one with each note, his soul burns and radiates. Absolutely incredible..I have never seen this. I thank him for sharing his gift. He is definitely the best pianist/musician I have witnessed.No comparison

He released his album at the start of 2018 I think and that went pretty well. I think after that he released a few singles and is working on another album. But it's true, the fame and recognition from BGT hasn't translated that well:( People should check out his youtube @Tokio Myers

The last performance killed it...I love that movie, love the soundtrack from that movie, I also play piano. That dude is a beast. Hats off to him for all of his performances.

When I watched Tokio play the Interstellar theme I was blown away. it's my favorite song of all time. And to here him playing it is just better.

This guy is from the Other side of the world, he's mysterious, genetically he's an alien... He feels it, emotionally he's even communicating with each and every note. He performs a feeling.

Not at all lmao. This guy is nothing compared to pretty much any musician in a Music university. It's just showy with no real substance. Evgeny Kissin is huge. Daniil Trifonov is huge. Arthur Rubinstein is huge. Daniel Barenboim is huge. Maria Joao Pires is huge. The list can go on. Saying that this guys' playing is in any way comparable to them is disrespectful to them.

This still gives me goosebumps years later! I just am in awe of the music he puts together it’s so incredible! He is so talented!!!

I always had this question, do the artists who produce these beautiful notes feel it when they play, i mean do they hear how beautiful this is, do they feel what we feel, do they appreciate the beauty of their own art, or it’s just work and concentration for them. But the way this guy performs answers it. You can feel him free in that act. He is feeling every note, living it and enjoying it. And absolute work of art ❤️ I am a doctor and for me music generally and piano specifically is my greatest escape. It heals my soul and carries my burden and i hope it does the same to him and every other artist. I hope one day i can play the piano this beautifully and enjoy to my core ❤️

He could be, the final song he was playing was actually composed by Hans Zimmer for the Inception soundtrack I believe. Could be wrong about the movie but it was definitely Hans Zimmer

Still here in 2023, such an amazing artist. Takes his time and plays from his soul. Music describe what words cannot. Well done Tokio, keep on keeping on!

Most performers show their talent with talking, singing or with stunts some being dangerous and yet don't even make it to the finals like this guy did. It's a very rare talent which is why he won and deserved it. Talent, art and music connected together creates something magical that is virtually undescribable, indestructible and undisputable all at the same time. Very unique indeed.
