The reason why Toji went after Megumi after he killed Dagon was because the moment he was resurrected by the old lady he was a killing machine/puppet just existing to go after the strongest individuals and he could've sensed that out of all the people that was there, Megumi had the potential to be stronger than all of them, so he went after him. The reason he killed himself though was because he came to his senses and realized that the person he was fighting was his son and didn't want to end up killing him, so he just killed himself.
