Now the toilet is fixed.
Slow Filling Toilet Cistern Cheap Fix Siamp Valve Replacement.
The part is called Siamp membeane water inlet valve or inlet diaphragm washer.
If your toilet won't fill with water, this is an easy and cheap fix.

Before fixing the toilet it was making a hissing noise and water was not coming out.
Very easy fix and cheap inexpensive to fix. Just need to replace a cheap part and that's it.
The part is called the water Inlet valve diaphragm and it should be very cheap to buy in a local shop.
You need to take the old inlet valve diaphragm with you to the store because there are a few models and
you want to buy the same model as the old valve diaphragm.
In America the valve is positioned on top and is a bit larger.
That's why it's very important to be sure you got the right replacement part.

I had exactly this problem - this video was so much easier to understand and the images more clear than any others I viewed for the same problem. £2.40 (which wasn’t the cheapest!) and 20 mins later, all done. Fab, thank you :)
Clear explanation of both disassembly and reassembly. Followed it exactly and problem was sorted. Thank you.
Thank you for this video helped me to fix my toilet. Part is called- SIAMP DIAPHRAGM WASHER
Managed to get this part for under £5 and fix my toilet in 5 mins! Thanks so much for the tutorial. Saved me a hefty call out fee 🥰 x
Thank you - I have now fixed our loo - and it was so simple because of the clear advice on the video!
That's excellent! I've run across this problem from time to time, but did not know about the diaphragm. Thanks!
So happy I viewed your video, got a washer and it worked a treat……..saved me from changing an inlet valve I never needed to change.
Thanks for this information. Saved me a fortune in plumbers fees. £5 and five minute job.Quality info
Thanks very much, very useful and very well explained! Helped me fix my toilet myself without having to get a plumber in. Cheers!
You are a legend. Explains nicely. Thanks for your help Sir.
Fantastic explanation, did the job even though I have no experience, although I had to fiddle with the spindle arm to prevent it from stopping the float. Very clear and informative and saved money and waiting ages for a plumber.
Brilliant! Thank you so much! Love, respect & "relief" from the UK.
thank you for the simple-to-follow video - Got my issue sorted quickly!

I've just changed the diaphragm in my own toilet, it was very easy and straightforward. Although I would urge caution, I have the same toilet cistern fitted like the one in the film. This particular type can develop problems because of high water pressure, also never place toilet loo cleaning blocks in the cistern because, when they degrade they will block the damper mechanism. This will cause the toilet to continue flushing, because the large rubber seal ring on the bottom of the damper, cannot make a good seal. There are many good films on u tube like this one, that will show you how easy it is to remove the damper, and inspect the rubber seal. Thanks for sharing.👍 your film.👍 Kind regards.
Excellent explanation 👍👍. Very helpful.
Thank you, such an easy fix .
Thank you for your excellent video. It helped me to fix my toilet and saved me a lot of problems. 👍👍
So helpful , thank you!
Great video mate! Fixed it no problem thanks to your video👍😀
Thanks for this!
thanks helped alot. Was going to buy the whole contraption but might need just the rubber seal.
Thank you for showing me how to fix it 🙏♥️
Thanks 👍...it worked for me.
Worked for me. Bravo!!!
Legend! Thanks so much.
Great job thanks for that 👍👍
Thank you so much 😃
Thank you - I'm still not entirely sure why a small split in the diaphragm causes so much trouble, but I followed your instructions and sorted out the problem - just £2.50 and I now feel very clever!

You're welcome! I did another last week on another toilet. That was a side feeding inlet and I replaced the whole inlet as it was super easy and a cheap model anyway. Didn't record it. Had some really hard weeks and couldn't do anything for anything. Will upload a lot more fixing home videos at some point. These kinds of videos are really close to my heart especially how many comments say thanks.

Sounds like it's working fine, just make sure it stops normally so it doesn't overfill. It's not supposed to come thru the top.

Perfect
Thanks for the video. I have the same model inlet valve with a different problem. I have a siphon type toilet so, the tube that fills the bowl full of water needs to be connected. I noticed yours is not hooked up and mine runs too strong. How did you turn yours off, and is it adjustable?

@@IONHowTo There is a little 3mm nipple extending to the right from behind the diaphragm. It normally has a tube on it. Siphon-style toilets use this tube to add water to the toilet bowl after flushing. you have no tube. did you turn it off? If so, how?

Hey buddy thanks so much for this video - I gave it a go and it works and the fizzing has stopped - I noticed that once you flush and the flush is finished you get some drops coming from the plastic piece - is there anything I can do to stop that ?
@IONHowTo

Thanks for watching! All water would come out inside the bowl. I'm not sure you can do more without replacing the whole inlet thing. Even if you replace it, it might still work the same.
I followed you instruction and found the exact problem with my toilet. I am not a DIY man, but still managed and all credits go to you. Now my only problem is where to find the rubber replacement, my local DIY store may not have the exact replacement. They may come as a whole unit at a higher cost.

it didn`t look damaged on mine , but i still replaced it and now the problem it`s fixed . so , it may not be any obvious damage on it but it still needs replacing . £4 at screw fix
Our toilet valve is exactly the same model ( UK). Screwfix and Toolstation didn't seem to carry the cheap rubber washer but both had full cistern units! I got the part from ebay for £2.25...it would have cost as much in petrol to go to screwfix!

@@trevorc6793 aaa ok, watch the video at the end carefully. There is an arm that the float goes into so when the float goes up it moves the arm of the valve. Easy - take the valve cover off and do it like in the video.

There's a small orifice in the end towards the front which the actor arm seals. This can block with fine debris and have the same symptoms as a ruptured diaphragm.
Better to replace the complete fill valve as finding the exact part is usually impossible.

It turned out the diaphhram was not exactly in the right place. Yjere is a small lug on the piece of plastic that the diaphram sits on thay engages in the main body of the valve and it was not engaged. I missed it andso did the plumber I called in. The top washer& was renewal curred the water hammer that started up. All now working . Great to have lots of videos to follow so thanks

If its a Fluidmaster toilet valve ........remove the valve, turn upside down and look into the tube. You will see a foam plug seated about 1 inch into the tube. Use needle nose pliers to remove that piece of shit and then replace your toilet valve. Fluidmaster doesn't even show that foam plug anywhere on their toilet bowl schematic diagram. It's worthless and fails over time. Thank me later.
