To remove those valve caps lift the handle and rotate I think counter clockwise.
The toilet is an elongated 1998-2009 Kohler Wellworth. I always find it hilarious whenever Steve jokes about his girlfriends, I especially in one post in which he stated an elderly lady’s clogged garbage disposal sounded like one of them. 🤣
