Hello all! I hope you're doing well. I've been due for a NATO and US Forces in Europe video for a while now, and why not start it off with the largest bang possible? I hope you guys enjoy this video, its been a long time coming, and a long time editing! I wanted to use @mixtapeWA's (War Aesthetics) video IN THIS COLD PLACE" as a reference because that's where I found it, but it always struck me as in a NATO/Western oriented nature, so here is my take on it. Exercise Campaign Reforger ("REturn of FORces to GERmany") was an annual military exercise and campaign conducted by NATO during the Cold War. The exercise was intended to ensure that NATO had the ability to quickly deploy forces to West Germany in the event of a conflict with the Warsaw Pact. Although most troops deployed were from the United States, the operation also involved a substantial number of troops from other NATO countries including Canada and the United Kingdom.
The last Reforger exercise was Reforger 93. Exercise Bright Star, a similar biannual military exercise in Egypt, serves essentially the same purpose in the 21st century.
The Reforger exercise itself was first conceived in 1967. During the ongoing Vietnam War, U.S. President Lyndon Johnson announced plans to withdraw approximately two divisions from Europe in 1968. As a demonstration of its continuing commitment to the defense of NATO and to illustrate its capability of rapid reinforcement, a large scale force deployment was planned that would deploy a division or more to West Germany in a regular annual exercise. The first such exercise was conducted beginning on 6 January 1969.
Reforger was not merely a show of force-in the event of a conflict, it would be the actual plan to strengthen the NATO presence in Europe.[citation needed] In that instance, it would have been referred to as Operation Reforger. Important components in Reforger included the Military Airlift Command, the Military Sealift Command, and the Civil Reserve Air Fleet.
The last Reforger exercise was Reforger 93. No further Reforger exercises were held after due to German reunification, the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact, and the end of the Cold War.

@@FedorFox so you think doing exactlx what started the war with Ukraine is good to do again but this time with Nato? Encroaching upon russia is only gonna make Things worse/end humanity. What drugs do u use i need some of that?

@@lazarpejic6415 You think Russian military exercises on the Ukrainian border caused this invasion? Or am I misunderstanding you? Russia was gonna invade regardless, so what you're saying doesn't make sense. Anyway, "encroaching" on Russia is essential to show Russia it can't get away with needless wars (especially in Europe). In fact, a "Reforpol" literally doesn't encroach on Russia. Russia still has its satellite state of Belarus to defend it. Russia just wants more satellite states because it's scared. Estonia and Latvia stand on the border with a country unafraid to invade its neighbours. And yet, they don't seek satellite states made up of Russia oblasts. The continued NATO exercises in the Baltic states ensure their security. Should Russia invade, NATO can ensure the territorial integrity of these states is maintained. Same goes for Poland. Most Western nations have a policy of "don't negotiate with terrorists". Russia deserves every bit of perceived "encroachment" it receives - play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
NATOwave is just so aesthetically pleasing.

I would say US definitely is but most of European NATO members need to step up their game, Germany in particular. The good news is that Russia certainly isnt the same either, the fact alone that there is no longer Warsaw Pact and pretty much entirely of former Warsaw Pact nations are now part of NATO + Sweden and Finland makes it significantly stronger than what it was when compared to Soviet Union + Warsaw Pact Either way, Germany, France and UK need to do lot more in regards of defense of Europe
