Maybe he learned from someone that used to live in the White House & now lives in FL. Evidence is evidence! When someone elevates a false high value on a property to get a loan, then deflates the value to get a false low value when it's time to pay taxes, that's committing fraud, cheating the government & lying. No matter who does it, it's wrong! Everyone should have to pay for their corrupt schemes. No one should be above the law. Be sure your sins will find you out & these are big sins! A lot of people, but not all, that live these life styles have committed these types of fraud. Those that are willing to show all of their true income, which doesn't mean getting a loan, pay the taxes that they should actually pay & show their tax returns usually have nothing to hide. Those that are living on loans aren't wealthy people, especially when they lied to get the loan. Some people always want more than they are willing to work for & others just want to cheat their way to the top. So sad & the whole family suffers!

Well, I’m mean they have had multiple shows so their life of luxury isn’t that odd. They’ve had like 4-5 shows. Their daughter has her own fashion line. Todd made “some” money doing country music. He did have Sara Evans backing him. He set Kane Brown on the map as well. Had no idea who that kid was until he bragged about how good he is and look at him now. Multi platinum. So they make plenty of money to live that kind of lifestyle. It seems like everyone else they got tired of dealing with the IRS which they’ve spent a lot of money to exonerate themselves. Usually when people fight this hard to clear their name then maybe, just maybe they’re telling most of the truth. People who are guilty don’t keep fighting the way they are. They’re dumping tons of money into attorneys to clear their name and now they’ll be caught up in trying to do appeals

No, that’s their punishment after being convicted until they officially get sentenced. We won’t know what their actual punishment is until their sentencing hearing in October.

@Mary. The prosecutors wanted them held in jail until sentencing, but the judge decided they weren’t a flight risk and put them on house arrest. This will allow them time to get the minors’ guardianship(s) arranged.

What I love is because these two where well know and very well liked everyone still thinks they are good people. they are no different than the rest of the criminals that steal money every day. If a cashier stole100 dollars from a cash draw they would face charges. They would would not get the treatment of a king or queen. By still watching their show you are helping criminals. That's what they are. Period.

Being money hungry can make good people do despicable things. Celebrities usually get large paychecks and that in of itself is like an aphrodisiac. Their therapists should be on call to help them keep their heads straight when the urge to go astray happens. This is terrible for them and for those of us who enjoy their shenanigans.

So sad to think the million+ a year wasn't enough for them so they resorted to fraud. Also to find out they declared bankruptcy on 2o million of debt and they still wanted more. While I loved watching the show they definitely deserve to spend time in prison along with hefty fines.

They did it to themselves. It happens to everyone, when they put their extravagant life on TV... there is always someone out there, to set them straight.

The decline has begun. Ankle bracelets during appeal will need to be worn. Eventually appeal will be denied. Because they took it to trial they’ll get more time-maybe 5 years. All property will be seized to satisfy taxes and interest in tough forfeiture laws.

I believe the business partner about the affair. I have never watched this show, but every time I see this man, he just seems gay. When I found out he was married to a woman, I was shocked. @Joe . Maybe having a father in the closet and being a thief caused some mental problems for the son and he turned to drugs for solace? Nothing wrong with being gay but if you're lying to your family and trying to pull off a facade of a perfect life and your kids know you're a fraud they're going to have some problems.

Before: Joe and Teresa After: Todd and Julie wow. some celebs sometimes had to reached rock bottom after they did steal the wrong things as they deserve on why they want to be famous. The problem is some celebs must deal with some education business FIRST before they became all of this. They didn’t because this is really get into their attention until they’re falling. It’s sad. I hope they learn huge lessons on why stealing money always LOSE from every real good people.

30 million dollars to support their lavish lifestyle - Good Grief. I guess what the studio were paying them for doing the TV show wasn't enough to support their lavish lifestyle.

I have a hundred and twenty dollars in the bank. I have to get my family to next Thursday with this money. And worry about direct debits and standing orders draining it before Thursday. I can’t get a loan or an overdraft. Got seven day before I can breathe again And this dude buys three hundred thousand dollars of clothing. I feel like breaking into his house and stealing something. This makes me incandescent with rage

I am 67, roof leaking everywhere, insurance company won't replace it, so I'm back working 2 jobs, cause the floors are ruined and my leg went through the bathroom floor. After a recent hip replacement. When you try to do right and still have to struggle and see these rich people, doing this kind of stuff, it pisses me off!

I am sure they will have plenty of time to file an appeal while in federal prison.

And his Katie Joy - Without a Crystal Ball lawsuit for defamation just went up in smoke. Todd is home practicing dropping the soap.

What are they teaching their kids! They have young adults that have lived this lifestyle and and had everything. Very sad…

Oh no theyre going to do time. They racked up 30 MILLION dollars in fraudulent charges. Mike the situation did WAY less then that money wise and still got 8 months. Its gonna be bad

I haven't really watched this case so I'm excited to hear the updates.

I love the Chrisleys. I hope things work out for them. They’ve given me many yrs of entertainment and I hope they will continue doing so.

Wow thats so sad... even if am not a loyal watcher i have watched their show and its very funny. The family is hilariousI have had some good laughs . That said, I hate people who cheat on their taxes while the rest of us pay through the nose and since they have been found gulty then they should serve time. I don't know about 30 years its still speculation since they've not been sentenced yet but should be able to serve some time but pay up every dime .

What they did was take out loans at small banks and spend the money. Then they would take out more loans to pay off the first loans and spend that money. Then they filed bankruptcy and never repaid the $20,000,000 they had borrowed from small banks. Then the wife tried to hide the fact with forged documents. It was way beyond tax fraud, although that was also involved.

I love the Chrisley family too. And Nanny Faye is a riot. Perhaps she is genuine; but from a spiritual perspective her gambling enhanced the greed factor in their family. Gambling is a ditch that pulls everyone down. While her only child Todd tries to support and keep her motivated and active. Unfortunately they all are paying a hefty price for the folly of greed.

I always had a feeling when my wife would watch this show that Todd was a scam artist. The whole over the top super wealthy image down to the very obvious character he puts on reminds me of a well-kept used car salesman trying to sell you Lemon. Idk if it's because I live in TN, but I've seen so many people just like him and they were all frauds.

Before we ever heard about any of this, Todd was always so controlling and rude to his children. If that was what we saw televised, there is no telling how bad he was in real life.

I had only heard of the couple once. What they where saying, showing, or selling wasn’t for me! I would be surprise if they served time and if they did based on other cases with wealthy people they will get less than 2yrs or probation. Gordon Gekko said, “greed is good” but the people that embrace his words forget his character went to prison, because of greed!

I absolutely love the entire Chrisley family. I will be praying that they will appeal the verdict and win! They are NOT criminals! They certainly do live a lavish lifestyle but they work hard every day. Nanny Faye worked in a horrible factory for 40 years! I will continue to watch them on tv because they are funny and kind! Hang in there Todd and Julie! ❤️
