    Love your channel brother, some of the best instructional stuff on KZread. I have to remove twin 787s to replace the stators in a 98 Speedster. Guessing there is no way to accomplish without full removal so lining up two will be fun. Thanks for the help.

    Cool. Mine clicks at the 9 o'clock just a bit..how do you adjust across the horizontal. It seems shims only give you up and down.

    Great videos and amazing work. You have inspired me to get the HX out of long-term hibernation. Why has no one done a decent video on HX type driveshaft alignment procedures? I borrowed a dealer alignment tool back in 1997 when I installed Hot Products coupler retainers but even the 1996 Bombardier Sea Doo Racing Handbook didn’t give a really detailed step by step or if-then statement to help you work through problem solving (focused primarily on the X4 Hulls). The guys at the dealership were no help on HX drivelines. Seems like a drive line that is really easy to get wrong to varying degrees causing power loss, etc.

    Do you recommend applying some grease on the driveshaft splines when installing the driveshaft or replacing wear ring?

    After you install it on the ski use your greases gun and put a couple pumps through the PTO fitting.

    From 16:45 on.... That needs a whole video by itself. I snugged up the housing and ski wouldn't start. I went through entire electrical system... Ugh! That also explains why maybe they had so much RTV rubber sealing up the pump housing at the hull. Bolts seemed loose when I removed

    What kind of oil lines do you use and where do you get them from? Could you do a detailed video on how the oil system works? Particularly the main lines and the drain? I can't seem to find any information how those work. I know what the two small lines do.

    Do you need to use an alignment tool if you are using the same engine mounts?

  • @TodayWeWrench

    @TodayWeWrench

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes, chances are it wasn't aligned 100% from the factory. Also over time it will loose alignment slightly.

    Too much work, for the last 25 years i always grab the shaft, pushed inside the pto, shaked hard for two seconds, tight all bolts and thats it, never has one failure. Yeah i know some of you will called unprofessional and bla bla but to me is common sense and again never a failure.

    Improper way to do it and literally does nothing for alignment.
