Calvary chapel Baptist Church, If we were sinners before we came to Christ for salvation, (And we were), And we are still sinners after we got saved, Then what did the sacrifice, blood and death of Jesus accomplish???. The Bible tells us that we are Saints. Anyone who knows the Bible will know that neither Jesus or the repented malefacter went to Paradise the day they were crucified. The repented malefacter went to Abraham's bosom and Jesus went to Hell the day they were crucified.

This rendering is based on the insertion of a comma in the 13th century! It makes all the difference! Jesus really said "True I tell you today...you will be with me in paradise". The earliest greek manscripts contained NO PUNCUATION marks! Jesus could hardly offer paradise to anyone 'That day' since he died and was buried and rose on the third day. This is the true Gospel!

Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor Jody, Anyone who knows the Bible, will know that neither Jesus or the repented thief went to Paradise that day. Paradise, Greek, "Paradeisos" is only mentioned 3 times in the New Testament, and it's Heaven. Nowhere does the Bible say Paradise is in the underworld. Born again Christians are not sinners, the Bible calls us Saints. If we were sinner before we came to Jesus and salvation, [Which we were]. And if we are still sinners after we get saved, Then what did the sacrifice of Jesus achieve.
