I love how serious Johnny was about taking the pole dancing class, he didn't waste the teacher's time. u can clearly see how much he was trying his best to actually learn without being awkward about it. he's never afraid to try new things, and it just shows how comfortable he is within himself and that he's a great example of secure masculinity. I love his level of confidence, he's self-aware without being arrogant about it. he always makes sure everyone around him is comfortable, he seems so fun to be around. he's truly an amazing and an inspiring person.

I'm a woman and I would never do pole dancing on camera because of the connotations around it. It's actually easier for male idols to do this than female idols, because female idols would worry about fans and viewers sexualising them more (which would happen).

As somebody who used to do competitive pole dance, I'm jealous of how quickly he got everything D': Kudos to him for the hard work and trying something new and extremely difficult! Also, the move he does at 19:19 is called a handspring and after 2 years of pole I didn't have that yet, for any perspective on just how hard that move was XD

Never did pole dancing, did a lot of gymnastics when I was younger, it looks like it comes down to strength. Just looking at her thighs and Johnny is well known for his strength training. This type of excercize is probably perfect for him fun but ruins you in pushing your muscles, balance and flexibility in no time

His progress is not at all normal for a first class! Very impressed with his skills, and I can't imagine how good he would be if he kept doing it! As a poler, it makes me really happy to see Johnny instinctively pointing his toes on the inverts...and pushing through the pain. Skin tolerance is no joke in pole! Plus I love that the instructor recognized his strength and immediately bumped him up past beginner moves because she knew he could handle it. I also love this instructor and would totally sign up for her classes without even thinking twice. But also, for anyone interested in pole...fear not. You focus on holds and climbs and basic spins on a static pole (from the floor) before you move to inverts and switching the pole to spinning. One of the best workouts I ever started, and so much fun! And a great way to grow confidence in yourself...nothing says "I'm badass" than accomplishing various milestones as a poler. Such an empowering form of exercise.

@@giseleroza9795 Not necessarily, it just depends on your own personal progress. When I first started, it took me a few weeks to just climb. Took me a couple months for the inverts, then I never quite got my handspring. It also depends how often you train too. But I promise you this-every milestone is so exciting, and you feel so accomplished. It's great.
