Any idea when the modified sledge video is coming out? I've been waiting for a really good video on this specific truck. I recently purchased a Traxxas Sledge and it's one of my favorite RCs of all time. When you release the Sledge video, can you provide a highly detailed link list of the parts you used including the body that you showed in this video? I know that's asking a lot. I'm a huge fan of your channel! You probably have the most practical RC channel on YT. You push the RCs to the limit and give us real world examples of what we can expect from stock and modified. I think it's great that you always do a stock stress test before you modify so we can get the full shakedown on the difference. I know you've been busy with the move, but I can't wait till you get back to putting out more videos!!! Sorry for the rant. Keep doing what you do M8! Thanks for all you do!

Looks mostly like my TT-02 and I'm really liking mine at min I've got a Hyundai Rally shell on mine and its built from the Toyota TT-02 KIT but added my own motor ESC N Servo to it with Lippo it's super fast and respond's well handling and cornering. but might upgrade the suspension but that's about it. it's my fave at the min. but I'm working on a project called Frankinstinger but vids going up on my KZread very soon :)

Probably one of the reasons I’m here too , had plans to pass on the experience with my son who was up for it but unfortunately life’s constant bombardment of financial and time restraints put a stop to it . Not a happy chappy …….

I am sure you have thought about this already, but one of the easiest solutions might be one of those desk cable management trays. You screw one onto the bottom of the back of the table to the left and try managing your cables inside it electric distributors included (so it won't be on the ground). If you don't want to screw through the metal, you can buy one of those that can just be attached to the back of your deck or 3D print attachement tabs for a normal one.

Wow, you have a lot of projects. The Blitzer Beetle is one of coolest Tamiya cars. I've seen one video where the You Tuber ran it on the beach and looked right at home. Since your moving to the Isle of Man, I am sure there are some beaches. Even if you don't film it might still be a lot of fun. Keep up the good work.

So Awesome you got the Re-Re Avante Kevin!!!!, I just built one a couple of weeks ago even fitted a barely run Technigold motor. My first Tamiya build in 34 years!! 37kph with my GPS!!! You'll love the build and it handles really well for such a classic design. Epic!!

Back in probably 1987ish I had a remote control truck, can’t remember what it was called but it had a cord going to the controller and it was terribly slow but when you pushed this button these claws would come out from the wheels and it would climb over about anything! I thought it was so cool but only had it for a short while before our cat chewed through the cord so my dad threw it away 🤣 that was my only rc experience in life

I was 9 at the time. Loved toys r us store where they had that exact toy. Do u guys remember the jumpy thing that a had plastic ring to stand on with a rubber ball in the ring to bounce on? They were all the rage. That and Garbage pail kids cards. Still have those.

Magnetic cord runners to run the wires around the PC. Should be able to easily clean up your desk space. LTT has some they have been promoting

Cable management is an art, a combination of concealment and anchoring. Split Loom works well for concealment.

Kev look up Secret labs Magnus Pro best desk made in my opinion!! its got a tray on the back to hide wires !! then a cable that goes down the inside of the leg to plug it up and its self rising!!

4:05 Wow, the re-release is really true to the original, down to the mechanical speed controller and everything.

Check out cable raceway for tidying up those cables underneath the desk. They're great for bundling lots of cables together that travel in the same direction then branch off in different directions.

Grab a under desk cable management tray and some zip ties to cable manage your desk (run the cables that need to be plugged into the wall loosely zip tie them to one of the legs so the cables can slide up and down depending on the height to save the cables stretching, and just bunch (zip tie) the rest together)

should turn the beetle into a nitro hotrod with some custom pipes coming out the side, similar to snotrod in "cars"

You can buy clips to stick to your desk for your cable management

Cable Sleeve or sleeves, they bundle wires together gently

You can get those under hanging tray to put at the back of the table.. preferably in the middle and some rubber guide grommets to line the cables

Heya Kev, good stuff. I do recommend that you run the Blitzer Beetle at least once. They are actually a fun chassis that was pretty good for a non racer at that time. I put a brushless system in mine and Tamiiya TRF shocks. It goes really well. Oh a kimborough servo saver too.

A great way to clean up the cables for your computer area would be some LTT magnetic cables ties. I have them for my computer area and off makes clean up easy and adding or removing things easy

I have been installing a section of plastic wire duct (Panduit) on the underside of the table to store of the extra length of the cables.

My 1st proper rc car was a monster beetle nearly 30 years ago, also had a tamiya lunchbox and still have it in the garage loft awaiting a rebuild.

My first RC truck was a radio shack Nikko and it was fast and fun got me into the hobby

I use Velcro strips made for cable management. Easy to add or remove cables later.

In terms of cabling on your desk I would use a metal cable tray under the desk and trunking around the cables. Hope this helps! :)

First ever r/c car I had was a quick drive midnight pumpkin then had a manta ray still have it today along with a grasshopper and a Subaru Impreza built from a magazine first use it destroyed it’s gearbox would like to get another one for it

I built a wooden box to place my monitors on that has no back to it. That is where I tucked my wires. I wanted my monitors higher so it took care of two problems. Any remaining wires that didn't work well in the box I looped and zip tied and stuck to the bottom of the desk using sticky backed cable tie holders.

Here in my garage with my lambogini, but u know what's better than fast cars KNOWLEDGE 😂
