Today I'm Scrapbooking... with a seashell

Today I'm scrapbooking two 3x4 portrait photos with the Bloom Street collection from Pink Paislee and a seashell cut file, both from Paige Evans. These photos were taken at the Bon Voyage Breakfast at Trattoria al Forno, on the Boardwalk near Epcot.

I use my Silhouette a lot! A little vinyl, but mostly paper. I cut titles, journal strips, embellishments for both cards and scrapbook pages. My crafting just wouldn’t be the same without it.

Thank you Shimelle. I so love your videos. I have a Cameo 3 and a Cricut Maker. Which I use, depends on where I get the art. I mostly make stencils for mixed media, Card, embellishments, Paige's cut files and 3 D organization projects with the Silhouette. I prefer Design Studio for design and editing. The Cricut cuts so much, I have made quilts, purses, stuffed animals, cards mostly Anna Griffin, party decor, scrapbook pages, cards, vinyl, iron on infusible ink projects like T-shirts and bags. I am getting my money out of both of them even with the annual/monthly fees. I wish I had it when my daughter had her school projects.

I have a cricut that I originally purchased for scrapbooking and cutting paper, and then once I realized all that it could do I started cutting vinyl and heat transfer vinyl. Now, after having it for a couple of years and getting really back into scrapbooking and discovering cut files, recently I’ve used it for a lot more paper than anything!

I have a ScanNCut which I bought for cardmaking, specifically to cut out stamped shapes to make my own die cuts. I don’t use it often - it’s a bit of a pain to set up in my space, but once I have it out I use it to batch cut lots of things. I used a cut file to make cards for Christmas last year. I don’t make traditional scrapbook layouts - I just like watching you make them!

I have a Cricut and a Scan-N-Cut. I cut out stamped images for card making with my Scan-N-Cut. I use my Cricut for Scrapbook titles, layered diecuts, silhouettes, making stencils, etc . I love hand cutting things and still do some but my hands aren't up to what they used to be. I like making my own embellishments.

I have a Cricut Maker - use it for cut-files for scrapbooking. However also use it to cut vinyl for making tumblers & T-shirts, etc, also making large stencils for making large wooden signs for decor.

I am new to your channel-this is probably the 3rd video of yours I have watched. I really appreciate your design tips and sharing the why of some of your choices! I have a Cricut Air 2 that I have only used a couple times. I need to learn more about Design Space so I probably need to just start using it and learn as I go!

This is lovely, Shimelle. It has such a great flow. Look at that sweet little smile! He must have loved them. I have a Cameo 3, and I go through spurts with it. Sometimes I go old school, and just scrap . Other times I use cut files. ☺

Such a pretty combination of colours! I have an old Scan N Cut machine, and I have used it for cut files and lots of shapes, as well as scanning and cutting out stamped images. I got a Cameo 4 for Christmas 2019 and have been using it for Paige's cut files mostly, and I back those files or use them for layering. Thanks for sharing this great layout and process!

I recently purchased a Cricut Maker but have not used it yet. I have an old Cricut Expression and Gypsy with a giant box full of cartridges (probably 100). I even have a Cricut Cake from my daughter's baking days! I keep telling myself I will transfer all the old cartridges and then I'll start using the machine but I think I'd better just start using the machine. I bought the Cricut Maker because it was so versatile and I could use it for scrapbooking and making other things for my home and my classroom. Send help :)

I have a Cameo 3 and only use it to cut paper for scrapbooking. I’m hoping to venture into the world of vinyl one of these days. I’ve had either a Cricut or Cameo of some kind for roughly 15 years and have only done paper crafting projects. Vinyl intimidates me for some reason.

Love these photos. Did the Bon Voyage breakfast on our last day in Disney World. It truly was our Bon Voyage. I also have Cameo 3. I use it for vinyl. Just can’t make it cut right for paper.

My Silhouette has been sitting unused for a couple of years. When I was using it, I generally cut out basic shapes in white. That way I could ink it to make it whatever color I wanted to match my layouts at a later date.

I love the idea of cutfiles and I wish I used my silhouette more...they just help so much with making a background...but I just don't find myself reaching for it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I really suggest taking a day to precut a bunch of files you like in plain white cardstock. Once you have them available, you'll be more likely to use them and once you start using them, you'll be in the swing of it all! :)

I have the original Cameo and a Cameo 3. I use it to cut all the things: vinyl, htv, fabric and, of course, paper! I am a papercrafter/scrapbooker first! I often print and cut my own embellishments.
