I would be a liar if I said I didn't cry during this video. "American Solder" has always given me goosebumps. Especially after seeing Toby sing it live on stage. The tribute he gave to our military branches during this song was breathtaking. A member of each military branch comes out and stands together side by side on stage. Showing unity and strength as a patriotic video is being played on the huge screen behind them. At the end of the song 3 jets flew above the stadium together side by side. The stadium went crazy and you could look around the stadium seeing people wiping tears away from their eyes..This tour with Trace Adkins I went to in Dallas, Houston, and Austin Texas. A few years ago I retired after being a welder for the same company for 30 years here in Texas. My boss was nice enough to allow us to have MP3 to help take our minds off the 100 + degree summer heat 🥵🌡️ and 30 degree cold winters 🥶 ❄️. I had all of Toby Keith's music on mine. Reason being is because when I needed to dig deep and find that push that I needed to finish out my day Toby music always delivered for me. Music is the reason I stayed at that same company for so long. Not too many companies allow you to have it. When Toby's music came on it would take me back to his incredible concerts. I could picture what I saw, and the excitement I felt during those concerts. To this day I still do. One day I hope to see him and tell him how much helped up to the day I hung my welding helmet up for the last time .

He was in horrible pain. As the daughter and sister of 2 cancer patients (stomach and esophageal and both died, I can promise you he was in horrible pain. He might have had a fentenal patch on. He wanted to leave this world giving his best to his fans. He knew right here he was going to die. My daddy and my brother both knew cause the Dr's told them they couldn't do anymore for them. Bet they told Toby that too.

Yes that’s hard to see. 🥺💔He looks completely different from his normal burly physique! I just saw a picture of his upper leg and it was so thin. It’s very sad to see esp when you were of a bigger frame. 😢

His body was ravaged by the "treatment" - chemicals, radiation, surgery - even if a person survives that, they pay a high price. Also, we don't know if he took the 'shot', which is responsible for turbo cancers. His passing is tough news, to be gone so young. It can sometimes eliminate cancer (although this is rare), lower the risk of recurrence or control its progression & diminish tumours. This in turn makes the person very sick due to the side effects. So it boils down to: QUANTITY of life OVER QUALITY of life. Meaning do you want to suffer for that ‘extra’ time that chemo MIGHT give you or would you rather not have chemo & avoid the extra suffering taking your chances of not living longer.

I hope and pray that the good Lord is watching over you and using his healing hands to treat you. You are my favorite country music performer and I have had the opportunity to see you at Darien Lake in Rochester NY two or three times. What a final rally!!! Wow Mr. Keith. That’s some kind of Spirit in you. When my husband knew he had only a short time to live we traveled West with no specific plans. He passed through the veil in August 2022 after a valiant cancer ordeal. We were obsessed with Cryin’ For Me on our return trip. On Monday 2/5/23 I walked at cemetery and belted out Cryin’ For Me and wept. On Tuesday at nail salon I saw Toby’s news on TV and managed to stay composed until I got to my car. Not Cryin for him but his family and knowing the road they’ve traveled on some level at least. We had been married 39 years with 3 adult children. My husband’s faith buoys me to this day. Toby’s too. What courage what inspiration. Beautiful Toby Keith has been set free.

What it took for him to perform is just mind blowing! I watched my husband going through chemo, radiation and surgeries and he lost his battle after all just a few months ago If I could pray for anything it would be a cure for cancer. Toby was one of his favorites! If anything I hope they’re both watching down on this crazy world that needs a boot in its ass!!! Please rest easy Toby!!!!

RIP Toby Kieth. I’ll never forget coming home from all 3 deployments in Iraq back when I was in the army. All 3 times after only an hour back in country, and marching into the welcome home ceremony after not seeing our families, and being in was and constantly in danger. Your songs were being played loud and proud as we marched in. I’m not ashamed to admit I Was crying under my breath. We all were. I marched in to American soldier once and courtesy of the red white and blue twice. Your songs are not just amazing, but they’re sentimental to me as well. RIP brother. Yes that’s hard to see. 🥺💔He looks completely different from his normal burly physique! I just saw a picture of his upper leg and it was so thin. It’s very sad to see esp when you were of a bigger frame. 😢

His body was ravaged by the "treatment" - chemicals, radiation, surgery - even if a person survives that, they pay a high price. Also, we don't know if he took the 'shot', which is responsible for turbo cancers. His passing is tough news, to be gone so young. Thank you, Sir, for your patriotism and boldness - you were, and are, appreciated!!

@@jessstone7486The goal of chemo is to prevent or reduce the spread of cancer cells. It can sometimes eliminate cancer (although this is rare), lower the risk of recurrence or control its progression & diminish tumours. This in turn makes the person very sick due to the side effects. So it boils down to: QUANTITY of life OVER QUALITY of life. Meaning do you want to suffer for that ‘extra’ time that chemo MIGHT give you or would you rather not have chemo & avoid the extra suffering taking your chances of not living longer.
You know many songwriters say bless the usa, i support the troops, i love my family and america. But Toby is one of the few that really shows it all the time through his songs, interviews and actions. He was truly a family man that loves his country and all the people. Im so glad we have his great music to aways remember him.

Toby l love ❤you and your band. It doesn’t what song you sing you give all of yourself when performing. I hope and pray that the good Lord is watching over you and using his healing hands to treat you. You are my favorite country music performer and I have had the opportunity to see you at Darien Lake in Rochester NY two or three times. I don’t know everything in life but my Pop told me you always have to have your faith, love and hope above all because without hope you have nothing.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers every night. ❤
What a final rally!!! Wow Mr. Keith. That’s some kind of Spirit in you. When my husband knew he had only a short time to live we traveled West with no specific plans. He passed through the veil in August 2022 after a valiant cancer ordeal. We were obsessed with Cryin’ For Me on our return trip. On Monday 2/5/23 I walked at cemetery and belted out Cryin’ For Me and wept. On Tuesday at nail salon I saw Toby’s news on TV and managed to stay composed until I got to my car. Not Cryin for him but his family and knowing the road they’ve traveled on some level at least. We had been married 39 years with 3 adult children. My husband’s faith buoys me to this day. Toby’s too. What courage what inspiration. Beautiful Toby Keith has been set free.

I watched my husband going through chemo, radiation and surgeries and he lost his battle after all just a few months ago If I could pray for anything it would be a cure for cancer. RIP Toby Kieth. I’ll never forget coming home from all 3 deployments in Iraq back when I was in the army. All 3 times after only an hour back in country, and marching into the welcome home ceremony after not seeing our families, and being in was and constantly in danger. Your songs were being played loud and proud as we marched in. I’m not ashamed to admit I Was crying under my breath. We all were. I marched in to American soldier once and courtesy of the red white and blue twice. Your songs are not just amazing, but they’re sentimental to me as well. RIP brother. You may be gone, but your songs will live forever! I’ll always cherish your songs. Thank you so so very much.

Thank you Toby for having the courage to give of yourself and perform such an incredible show. I know that wasn’t easy but you gave it your all and I appreciate how much you love us and wanted to be with us not knowing the future. Toby you are an incredible songwriter singer and entertainer with that romping driving beat like Waylon Jennings, the energy and Showmanship of Hank Williams jr and telling beautiful stories like Kris Kristopherson but most of all sharing that rebellious outlaw attitude standing your ground for your beliefs and music doing things your way that only southern boys can understand. I miss you already Toby and will miss all of the music you still had to make and the stories still left to be told. Now you are in Heaven with Waylon and Johnny and Hagard telling stories and making music together. Unbelievable he can sing like that with being that sick, it’s so sad, but at least he lives forever in his songs! His voice was truly amazing and his song writing was incredible.
He sang as good if not better than ever.I've commented elsewhere on other things so I should emphasize here my admiration for his utmost respect he had for the American military. He sure was tough with own cancer battle.No idea the end was near.
