Honestly I love every dc Talk album. There's not a cringe-worthy moment listening to it especially the 1989 debut and Nu Thang. I'm getting the Word of God in my heart while grooving to it. Funny. About the time a certain freak of an album was making the rounds the some of the AA guys swung by the LU student radio station to hang out (I didn't ask). The topic of DC Talk came up. Asked if we keep DC Talk catalogue on hand. Do I? Oh yessir. Prepare to be dazzled, Audio Adrenaline. _Round round, you're spinning round, you're life goes round and round (g-g-guitar)_ Needless to say, they left that night feeling much much better their station in life.

I'll be honest I didn't get into DC Talk til The Free At Last Album because I thought everything before that just sounded corny. My friend who was big into them played nu thang and their other stuff when it first came out and I was like no. Then we were at his house and he played Love is a Verb and I was like what is that?! He said DC Talk. I was like wait the same guys from before that sounded corny?! He was like yeah. Now I was like now this sounds pretty good! I was fan after that.

Please ask Toby McKeehan, also know as Toby Mac, how it came to be that DC Talk got the song "Things Of Things World" and the words for "Jesus Freak". What's the story behind the inspirations? Were there other song writers who were there at the right time who influenced the direction? Someone who naturally spoke in rhyme about not really caring if anyone labeled them as a Jesus Freak?

If you go to the DC Talk official website or their Vevo channel, it does almost seem like Toby & the guys would like you to believe that DC Talk's career began with "Jesus Freak". There's no music or videos from the first album or from "Nu Thang" and only a little bit of mention of "Free At Last". I guess they really do "cringe" at the music from their early days.

Please forgive me for being a troll but I Kinda don’t like how his current live set pretty much abandoned the TobyMac I remember in love still to this day I may like the current pop sound but I prefer the old rock sound from the 2001 to 2010 days so I came up with an idea for a new tour where it opens up with the current pop sound for an hour and a half followed by an intermission then an hour and a half of the old rock sound from 2001 to 2010 once again I’m not asking for a DC Talk reunion but as far as TobyMac goes I would like to see a tour like this to hear these old songs again I know it kind of sounds similar to newsboys United but either way I would like to see a TobyMac song reunion tour, So here’s what I think the set list should be like opening 1 The elements 2 til theday I die 3 me without you 4 everything 5 Beyond me 6 speak life 7 I just need you 8 Love broke through 9 steal my show 10 see the light 11 move keep walking 12 scars 13 i’m sorry 14 21 years 15 lights shine Bright 16 feel it 17 eye on it then a 20 minute intermission then opening again with 1 tonight 2 catch that fire Woopsie Daisy 3 made to love 4 burn for you 5 Irene 6 The slam 7 get back up 8 yours 9 ignition 10 Boomin 11 funky Jesus music 12 gone 13 I’m for you 14 lose my soul 15 hold on 16 city on our knees and clothes out the night with 17 Extreme days. So that’s just an idea I had in my head so I thought I would spread the word.

I hate it when artist do this. If you are ashamed of the rap back then….. then maybe the rap wasn’t really in you. Sad to hear it.
