Superstar Toby Keith received the American Hero Award at the 2016 Nancy Lieberman Charities Dream Ball. Whether it’s helping sick children and their families in his native Oklahoma through the Toby Keith Foundation and their cost-free home, OK Kids Korral, or supporting US Troops including 11 USO Tours throughout the world, Keith has never lost touch with the most important things in life. Those contributions, along with his amazing success as an entertainer and businessman, made him a highly deserving recipient of the award.

God always gives the best and sometimes takes the best. I can't emphasize enough how sorry I am for his family and myself for having the pleasure of his humbleness, his amazing songs, and his patriotism was off the charts. I loved that he had no filter. This world is so going to miss u. Ur great heart, rebellion at times and ur honesty. U touched so many people. God had a plan for u, all along. Ur family will carry on ur will to make things happen. God bless them all thru this sad time. Trish, lost my husband of almost 30 years 3 years ago. I feel ur pain. Believe me. My love and prayers to u all. I was a big fan and loved that he was just who he was. I'm a midwesterner and I relate to all he stood for. My husband was a Vietnam vet and we saw Toby in concert. He was amazing as u well know. So sad he's gone♥️

Wow!!! She might need to reel it in a bit. Pretty clear she’s got a major thing going for him. Poor Trish......what it must be like to deal with this on a daily basis. I simply couldn’t do it. Toby, not ever EVER complimentary or appropriate to call any woman a cougar. Just inappropriate behavior here all the way around. Cringe.
