Zeth YES! What an amazing heir to the kings of ATL rap. When I first heard one of his songs, I got such a Dungeon Family/Outkast vibe. Some of his transitions and verses reminded me of the best of Andre from the ATLiens and Aquemini era. I can't get over the level this dude is on. I've been sleeping on most new rap for years and years now and I know there's other good dudes out there, but this guy is beyond talented. Love how consistent this album was thematically and lyrically and musically.

Geof Ervin I like the words you put down to express Tobe's work. It called to mind a lot of things from my musical/cultural past and our collective and individual cultural journeys. His format put me in mind of 45rpm records I use to play during my day. They were short, took only several minutes 4 max to play, but told a story. To me Tobe's work are like video 45s. Also put me in mind of David, the Psalmist, musician, warrior, YHWH's top cultural lyricist. They way he played, and told stories, pulling from his personal experiences, his people, and his 'hood.' Just heard about them today from a name drop on a podcast. I've been blown away by every song I've listened to. You can tell from the lyrics he has an amazing story to tell.

and like he doesnt even swear?! doesnt write himself out of a corner by ending lines with "nigga". everything he says has actual meaning and adds to the song. this is some next level ish man
