So I am a Roo Vet.. 10 years mixed in over the years. I saw the Bourbon and Beyond lineup and just about screamed.. literally dream lineup… But gosh darn if it didn’t sell TF out of comfy digs.. but also,holy crap is that shit expensive!! ?🤯

FloydFest had incredible port-a-potties for years. The vibe is AMAZING there too. You are camped in the Blue Ridge Mountains amongst the stages.

I went to bourbon and beyond in 2022 for 1 day and it was fabulous. I’d say don’t camp if you can afford not to. Camping in that part of Louisville, on concrete sounds like a nightmare. It’s a city festival 100%. Also the festival is only about 6 miles from downtown. Without traffic you can get there in less than 10 mins.

The day the lineup got released my husband and I said we were GOING! Well, we immediately got sticker shock with the prices! 🤯

I didn't think it was too bad for the lineup..5 days camping and 2 GA tickets for two was about a grand but dang,the lineup is worth it..and no I'm not rich..just willing to eat Raman a few months to make it happen..lol..😂

Ya the B &B fest lineup BLEW ME AWAY this year! We were on board but man the prices quickly took us aback..

So hyped you guys are going to bourbon you will love it!

I think it depends on what you are used to, I’ve only done one city fest of about 30,000 people attendance each day and they had around 25 water spigots, so for me going to a festival of a similar size with what 7 at BAB would be jarring…especially with hydration packs not allowed.

@@ChelseaAllen420 I’ve attended two years (going on 3) at bourbon and beyond and it’s a great festival of course it’s a young festival. Danny wimmer presents does two festivals in two weeks at that same site I’ve seen the place smacked full and I’ve seen it pretty calm. I believe they allow you to bring two sealed Water bottles and there are several stations to refill it’s not as big of a festival ground as some I’ve attended that being said they’re not that far apart and are towards the back of the main stage crowd but I’ve had no trouble refilling in a timely manner maybe there’s a person or two before you but you’re not waiting more then 5 mins for water. They also have drink vendors in the crowd with beer power aid and water. I’ve seen water handed out by staff aswell. I don’t know how this guy had such a bad experience but I’ve always had a great time and would recommend it to anyone!

That Childish Gambino show was crazy!! I didn’t even listen to him before that and was completely all in at that show!!

I guess my question is.. why can’t Bonnaroo get a lineup like B & B??

The Bourbon and Beyond lineup is impressive in that while a lot of festival personalities have been giving passes to other weaker lineups this year "it's a tough year for touring talent"...B&B really makes you question if that excuse is really as legitimate as it is being made out to be. They also have countless legacy acts including DMB whereas Roo missed on him & couldn't get another equivalent to close out this year. Just curious what B&B's bookers are doing that other festivals have been unable to. There's no reason to shrink the font on lower rows because they aren't trying to hide filler. And this is the third straight year where I'd argue it has produced one of the, if not the best lineup in the US. I don't love city-based festivals as much but very much considering giving it a go this year. The infrastructure sounds like it could use some work but my first year in 08 at Roo had no shade, bad water access, clogged utility sinks in roasting hot metal industrial crates, etc. Here's hoping, like Roo, they can get better over time but I agree that if they serve that quality up again they really shouldn't be charging $300; Roo camping was at least free back then.

A great festival and outside of 1 day in 2022 the hydration has not been an issue. Danny Wimmer Presents learned from it and puts on a phenomenal festival. I’d say the overall tone of this interview was overly negative. Give it a chance!
