This is actually a project I started back in 2015 and, just like an unhealthy amount of my projects, I didn't touch it for ages and then finished it all in a few days. Surges of productivity and inspiration really are no joke.
I still remember how I heard this song and I immediately fell in love with it. Of course, as all editors are prone to do, I thought of what I could edit to it, but nothing really occurred to me immediately. Then, the first association I made with the song was Tsukishima and Kuroda from Hybrid Child, because of how heartbreaking their story is and how well it goes with the pleading and desperation in the last section of the song. I quickly realized I couldn't just do a Hybrid Child AMV out of it, though, due to how heavy the instrumental is. So, since the song revolves around a "us against the world" kind of idea, I decided to toss in some of my favorite BL anime and M/M ships and make it about that. I have a Lot of Feelings, but I'll spare you. Now that I think of it, this is pretty fitting for Valentine's Day, though I'm slightly early, LMAO.
