The very fact that promoted clubs actually start at an extra disadvantage with lower spending limits is madness. If anything they need to spend more to become competitive at a higher level!!!

SO true - Forest were punished and being 'compared' with clubs that has spent those three years in the PL, whereas NFFS had had just one year. This whole PSR is poorly-thought through -and seems to be a way of stiffling competition for the Big 6....though it's been great to see Villa punching above their weight this season.

Point deduction opens up for injustice towards players and supporters. I don't understand the thought-process, -it's like administration is "put on the football pitch" as if it was them "playing the ball." Actually when starting to watch football again half a year before Forest got promoted, had made me forget why I never followed PL in the first place. It seems to me, to be not_much_more about the fun game we love. (I love even playing with a ball myself, on my own.) But more about business, entertainment & establishment. So many things about PL I dislike, point deduction is only the tip of the iceberg. But I love the classic football ground feel, the green grass, a ball, the crowd and the fascination of trying to control an "uncontrollable" object in a competition between two teams.

Adam says cut them some slack ……. Yes you can do that with a ref decision on the pitch but not with var with somebody watching a video paused slowed down. Those decisions should not ever be wrong

I also think we'll just do it. I forsee Luton getting perhaps 4 more points (to 29 points) and Burnley getting 1 point in their next 3 games (so 25 points)....which would leave Forest needing just 3 more points from 3 games....which Is what I think will happen....3 draws, and we'll stay up ON GOAL DIFFERENCE !!!

VAR raises the likelihood of suspicion for the simple reason that a wrong decision with VAR in place requires additional people to make a wrong decision, and where all those additional people have the benefit of watching the incident back as many times as they want, from multiple angles, and at various playback speeds. The vast majority of people will see a mistake by officials without VAR and accept it’s an honest mistake. It’s understandably more difficult for some to just accept an honest mistake has been made where VAR is in place.

More to the point, Burnley should stay up on Current Form - 1 defeat in 8 - very impressive - but with their next 2 games v Newcastle and Spurs, they will, surely get no points there - leaving the Forest game as their main hope.

Forest have no excuse Everton have lost 8pts.
