Hi Chris, Good luck with your purchase. You might consider putting down hardware cloth before your soil to prevent voles, moles, whatever from coming up to eat your veggies. We have an issue with them here in Northwest Indiana. At our age it is hard to bend down anymore, so I purchase a cart on wheels to move around the garden. We also purchased the woven ground cover to be able to do less weeding. Works very well. Good luck, and I hope Mother Nature is on your side this year.

I have actually been eye balling a chair cart with wheels. If I get down on my knees for a day I pay for it the next day.

Thanks for showing us that brand! I'm tempted by the idea of raised beds - they look so manicured & neat. I'm a wild weed kind of a gal so my gardens reflect me :D

Wild weed… that will be my gardens in a couple months. Planted strawberries and blueberries in a couple of them so they will be ready to go year after year. Will be planting some vegetables in the rest first of May.

@@TryNewThings Thanks for the reply :D I've become a convert to those fabric mats to combat weeds. They let the water in but block out the sun so weeds can't grow. Tried to not use them last year & that was a mistake! But my blackberry & strawberry patches are starting to not grow as many weeds as I layer them with straw & leaves each fall/winter. We shall see!
