I wish different character would use Shredders armour instead of Raph as it wouldn't make sense in the story as the Raph, Leo and Donnie are dead so Raph being Shredder would retcon his death therefore messing up the story but i like your creativity

@Nick Wilson Shreder isnt a HotHead, hes driven by revenge and arrogance but hes also very patiently and planned. Leo would actually be a way better fit. I mean there's a Reason why in most Interpretations it is Leo who goes to on toe with Shreder.

Image took the turtles to some of the darkest places in TMNT history.

In Serbian Dub for the 2003 series,Raph's voice actor was also Shredder's.So you can imagine how the voice transition was smooth in that one episode where he 'was' the Shredder

It was dark but a fun take, also remember reading a fanfic that was really well done that covered and changed a few minor things and then continued it and got darker. ( In the end I think only Don was alive Don. I remember Mikey dieing in a fight, Raph and Leo getting into a fight over it Leo cutting Raph almost in half at the waist and commenting suppiku thinking he had killed Raph. Don was the last alive telling the sorry far in the future I kinda remember the twist was he was talking to Raph who he found out survived way later after everything but could be wrong)

Imagine how Raph would look in Shao Kahn's armor!!

Wish you mentioned the references to it with Raph being the Shredder in a nightmare in the 2003 series while Raph gets brainwashed and wields Shredder's gauntlets in the 2012 series.

This is one of the most unique interpretations of the ninja turtles.

Splinter also became the shredder once when there's a fith turtle and shredder's daughter ask him to the new leader, that back fire.

That picture creeps me out...

A bit too predictable only in the sense that this is something a lot of people would come up with. Mikey is a clown, but he never displays any large degree of annoyance towards his brother's reactions to his own antics. We already have the 2003 series to show us that if things were to change it would make a lot more sense for Mikey to be the one who ends up changing the most due to dire circumstances.

This is so cool! But still I honestly can’t see Raph becoming the Shredder in all the iterations after all their battles it would just be a gut punch to join them for whatever reason since you just can’t trust the foot clan and this was proven here in the Image comics.

"Tales Of" TMNT "re-branded" Urban Legend...witty...imo.

This is one of the BEST video I have ever seen.

I remember in tmnt 2003 raph had a bightmare he was fighting shredder where he is back but once he knock his helmet he was shock distance he will take on the mantle of the shredder and control the foot. This also kinda connect before cancel series of tmnt comics when lady shredder show up and try to force convince raph to join her or die. Before the book was cancel which lady shredder was karai.

It's been a while since I've bought physical comics, so I don't know how easy it is to find. But it's on ComiXology and boy oh boy is it a trip. Highly suggested read here.

what a dope story. MCU could take many notes from this. They love reverting to the status quo. Take an eye away from thor? Casually give him an indistinguishable one in the next movie. Kill loki? Bring him back (they have done it 3 times now) Make thor fat and depressed? Make him ripped and normal again in the next movie. -- Meanwhile, Raphiel gets permanent face damage.

I can see Shredder signaling out Raph, in case he knows he can’t keep fighting forever for some reason, so he chooses to make Raph be the one to carry on the legacy

Not a Mikey fan as Raph is my favorite but I'm thinking maybe Mikey could be deeper than most think. Even when things seem bad maybe he does his out of place joking on purpose while still thinking he's funny to try to help his brothers stay positive and see the fun in battle. From Splinter's viewpoint, each of them has their purpose and that could very well be his.

I believe the Urban Legends series finally reveals this secret, since in addition to reprinting the Image comics stories it gave writer Gary Carlson and illustrator Frank Fosco, a chance to complete the story then had intended to tell. You will have to read issues 24-26 to discover Lady Shredder's identity. Originally in 1999, the series ended after issue #23 since the sales numbers for the Image series were really poor. Raphael's depiction as the Shredder however, was referenced in an episode of the third season of the 2003 animated series, "The Darkness Within", where Raph was exposed to his fear of giving into anger and becoming the very thing he hated.

@@JB0071051982 Well, they gave him a chance to finish the story, but definitely not the one he had intended to tell. There is so much going on that I would have to start from issue #1, because starting from #24 would seriously cause me to miss out on a lot of necessary information, like for example why there’s a sentient armor capable of changing it’s (her) shape. I’m curious how things would have changed had they not changed who Lady Shredder is revealed to be, and I definitely understand now why it wasn’t answered in the video. Thank you for your input. Although not the way you had intended, it did engage me to uncover the answer myself.

Hahaha that movie had a cheap looking shredder. When this comic the shredder armor is fully body armor and depth shadow in the hlemt with red eyes which tmnt 2003 shredder faithful to the comic look which lady.shredder was also there

The animated adaptation brings the characters to life with vibrant colors, dynamic soundscapes, engaging music, and distinctive voices, enhancing their personalities in ways that static comics cannot replicate. The downside, unfortunately, is that certain elements are sometimes omitted or altered when transitioning from the original source material, a drawback shared by the comic adaptations. Yet, times have changed, and modern adaptations now have the opportunity to stay truer to the comic origins, much like how DBZ and its anime series closely adhere to the comic's essence. It's a delicate balance; attempting to cater to both media platforms can lead to creative complications. Thus, a decision must be made to lean towards either the TV or comic representation. While each interpretation holds its own merit, the intrinsic value of the original source material remains irreplaceable. Personally, my initial exposure to TMNT stemmed from the animated TV series, thus I find it helpful to view the various adaptations as distinct timelines, allowing me to appreciate the diverging narratives without diminishing their core origins.
