im currently in the process of customising a shredder figure. i spent ages trying to create a cape but i just saw how you used splinters cloak thing. genius! the dam figure was sat next to me the whole time. thank you for your help!

Granted you did this video a couple years back, but just thought I would add to this by stating the chrome Molotow paint marker will work on the helmet. But you need to take a couple of additional steps to make the chrome harden and hold. Step one, let it cure for a couple days. It may still be tacky even then, but thats ok. Just dont touch it. Step two, after letting it cure for a couple of days, give it a coat of clear acrylic. I use Future to do my clear coats, but Testers acrylic clear coat will work as well. I ended up picking up the new TMNT comic six pack, and this is what I did to my Shredder pads and helmet (which works great for covering up the dumb helmet eyebrows). Also just to make him more comic accurate, I painted his eyes white. Looks great on a shelf and lets me pay a little homage to the old Mirage TMNT without breaking the bank.

@@BertTheStormtrooper No problem. Yeah I found that the Molotow chrome tends to just work best if its given some cure time, then a clear coat. Once you let that clear coat cure for a week or so depending on what you used, it'll be ok to touch the finish and you wont have to deal with it rubbing off. If you don't clear coat it, the Molotow will either tarnish from being touched, or rub away.

Wow this amazing ! In my opinion, I think you can probably do the same to the Turtles.

I didn't measure them, I just traced Splinter's robe, rounded out the 'tatters'and cut. Once on the figure I trimmed as necessary. Thanks for watching

@@plxsify5067 Oh it is a custom. The official Toon Turtle Shredder figure doesn’t have a fabric shirt, instead the torso was just molded gray.
