“Do babies need to be walked?” (39:15) ::caffeine all over the screen:: “I could only see the dangly legs… ‘Do you need to get out of the house, or is that baby, that looks dead, where its feet are literally just dangling, does that thing need to be moved around?’… ‘This baby is dead, napping, something-‘.” “IT’S NOT DEAD!” ::in TEARS laughing:: Fresh air, exercise, and sanity, ladies :). Little brains benefit from being exposed to different stimuli (at appropriately gentle levels): music, soft objects, toys that light up or play sounds, being held and talked to, etc. Basically anything that encourages them to engage and interact with the world can help in growing those neural networks. It’s linked to the Waldorf School, Mamrie, that your cousins’ kids go to: there’s an idea that growing one’s abilities comes from doing and practicing skills rather than only sitting still. But on the parent side, there’s a sanity aspect :). From birth to age one or two, little humans are basically potatoes :). They eat, sleep, cry, excrete waste: they’re very cuddlable, but it’s not the most stimulating or rewarding phase of being a parent. And as a good parent, you’re more or less chained to this kid’s needs for the duration, because they need SO much, ALL the time, and are completely dependent on others to meet them. TL;DR: Walking = good for the baby, NECESSARY for the parent :).
What I’ve learned “phones are for playing games and calling boys”👏🏻🤣🤣🤣
Just wanted to quickly say that we care about your post - but also care WAY more about your well-being! Enjoy the break with socials - as long as we get to hang on Wednesdays still ;)

As a mom to a 5 month old, the walks are DEFINITELY for me but the walks do calm my daughter down & get some fresh air 😂
Sometimes my babies wouldn’t sleep and going for a walk helps them fall asleep! Also, sometimes being a parent is very isolating, and just going for a walk is great for your mental health!
Mamrie loses her cheese but WE win the day cause we get a TMGW ♥️♥️♥️
Lmao mamrie saying grace is in love with Disney adults made me lol
Picturing Claudio saying that to the guy…I love it. The way he speaks is *chefs kiss*
When I had my first son I used walk around my neighborhood with him in the stroller & it was for both of us. Me the walking & sun light for us both. In the beginning he would just fell asleep but when he was like 6 months he he'd look around & enjoy being outside.
I love the banter and the immediate realization you both had with FLASH MOB hahaha.
Lol, the customer service thing... I work customer service from home, and am totally listening to this podcast while working email requests 😅😅😅
I love how the upload time for the pod perfectly lines up with the lunch hours here in India! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Grace, make a burner account! Log off your personal social media accounts and create an account to consume now and then!
Laughed so hard at do babies need walks 🤣
Another great episode ladies!! Keep crushing the game!! I look forward to these and TMGR every week!! Glad you had a great time in Mexico Grace! Also glad you survived Detroit Mamrie! Love you ladies! 💙
Hi, I am from Germany and I am always amazed how long Americans refer to a child as "baby". I heard people refer to 2year olds as babies. Children are so vastly different. My oldest (boy) walked by 10 months and he had a head full of hair. To strangers he probably seemed much older at that time. My second (girl) talked really early. I remember walking into a supermarket with her sitting in the seat in the cart at about 12 month old. She saw the produce and screamed (the German equivalent of): "grapes"! A friend of mine which happened to be there as well heard that and asked me - totally baffled - "Did she really just say "grapes"? How old is she again? But I also think, the Orlando Baby did not understand the hotel chain was ment. About babies need to be walked: 😄Ladies! I cannot with you two!

Hahah I call my 10yr old and 7yr old babies still. Its more of a form of endearment, I embrace their growing up stages as well

I'm from America and we use the appropriate words too (toddler, preschooler, kindergartener, etc). "Baby" can be a term of endearment, and/or a way of joking around by implying, "I'm so old that they all seem like babies to me." Mamrie and Grace are also inexperienced with kids, and it can be their way of joking about that, too.

@salo81 Your English is very good, though! Don't worry. Every language confuses non-native speakers sometimes.
Lol i work at a customer service call center and we used to work at an office but since the pandy, we’ve been from home. Wayyyyy better that way. I’m currently “working”
that's why people teach their babies baby sign language, that way they can ask for what they want before they have spoken language skills. it cuts down on tantrums!
i fully would watch grace helbig travel content this summer jssss make work play!!
The pandemic outsourced a lot of call center jobs to home. I used to work for Marriott International for years and they furloughed all of us, then told us we couldn’t go looking for work at competitors & after a few months in quarantine they closed our center down because they didn’t want to pay the rent for the building.
Mamrie has such a good accent lol, she’s missed her calling to play a southern mom in a movie
Big Smosh fan so I love the GraceElliott and SarahClaudio crossover is one I didn’t know I needed. Love yall. ❤️
The sears portrait thing and seeing the lawn mowers and thinking those look fun to sit on, that’s the most Florida thing I’ve heard and I’m born and raised in Florida 🤣
I love going to a resort. I went to one in the Bahamas with friends and It was so fun. I love listening to your stories.
My favorite nonsense episode! Glad you both had great away weekends!! Can't wait for the live stream this weekend. Will be high with an LIT!!
That baby definitely just answers "yes" to everything lol it's like "why?". Once they figure it out, it's their personality for too long.
Hiiiiiii ladies!!!!! Love from NY you two are my all time jam
I’m gonna look into this vacation place.
Glad to hear I am not the only one who plays and loves rumicube!
The Xcaret resort/properties is so well known, huge, and really fun! It’s one of the great ones there!
Episode 284, maybe get an index card (with 2 sides) that says this might get (glances at card) ...
Cheers!🥂
“Those fucking idiots” 😂😂 still love you guys tho
I love Xcaret!!! I went last October (Arte!) with my hubby for our 20th wedding anniversary!! We loved it soo much we are going back with our whole family again this October. It’s the worlds best kept secret lol
just in time for my morning coffee 👌
Great video.
When the baby needs to be walked 😂 it was mostly for me to get in my steps but being exposed to different environments and sensations is useful for development
It must have been 1988, but there was a joint in Cincinnati called "Crunchy cicada pizza" when I got there in1990
I've been to Xcaret, its the best
Do you need to announce a break? No. Considering the last year would I be parasocially worried? Yes.
How did I never notice Alf in the background? 😂
Do babies need to be walked!?Scream laughed outloud
I remember stuff from when I was 8 months old.

What made the obnoxious man in the bar “like a Florida man”? A couple of knocks to Florida’s people, not nice. I live in Florida and that was kinda hurtful. Just saying. Stay sweet and take care ♎️☮️
Omg Grace went on vacation with Sarah Whittle from Smosh?! 🥹🥹
