Got a new skid loader log splitter. So far I love it. So much power. It's ability to split anything is pretty incredible.

Thanks for the quality content. Any regrets on not getting the splitter with the window? I am questioning the additional cost as well. Who did you purchase yours through? Thanks!

We got it direct from the manufacturer. I do just fine without the window. I'd say, like anything, it depends on how much you use it. I don't know if we've used it 20 hours yet. That doesn't sound like much, but it has saved me so many multiples of that in time and energy. I told my father-in-law the other day I know it was expensive, but it is so awesome and it earns is place all the time. So for us, no regrets on not having a window because we really can't justify that extra cost. I can still do the job pretty well and fast. We just needed it to split big or gnarly pieces and that it does amazingly well. It never fails to impress me on the power to split through tough pieces. Hopefully that helps.

I absolutely love it. Big investment for the amount of wood we do, but it's so worth it when I need it.

I really like how they're built heavy but I'm worried about the cylinder getting damaged

Yea, I can kind of understand that. I suppose you just have to watch out and keep track of what is in that area.

Seems like its gonna use a lot more fuel an time an not to mention using a skid steer an putting all the hours an wear an tear on it just to split some logs that your gonna have to respect again anyway

Agreed. This video was more of a demonstration. Typically, I just use this to split pieces that are too heavy to lift in the pull behind log splitter for multiple hours or too long to fit in it and to prevent me from cutting it. Last year, I had some oak pieces that easily weighed over 100 lb. I used this to split it to manageable size and then split with the pull behind. In summary, I agree. I don't like to add wear and tear on the skid loader or use fuel unless it's really beneficial. Thanks for watching.
