Has anyone used the soup/congee setting to make oatmeal? If so, do you have any advice before I try?

Have you ever used the steam tray for vegetables during cooking? Or is that not a good idea

I haven't ever cooked vegetables in a rice cooker. I assume it's ok because so many come with a vegetable tray. However, the tray on this is tiny so mixed vegetables are probably the only type that would fit. I prefer to steam vegetables in a small pot.

The parts are not identified in my instruction booklet. The directions say to remove the seal from the cover to clean it, but where is the seal? The lid comes in two parts that are firmly fit together. Is the metal tray in the lid the seal? Please show a video that identifies the seal.

I don't think anything is removable on the lid. I use fast running hot water and pull the metal piece under the lid out as much as I can and rinse behind it. If anything is stuck onto the side of the metal part, I clean it off with a sponge. I also run water through the spout on top. I rinse around that metal part of the lid every week to prevent buildup and it has worked well so far.

Does it cook quinoa?

What setting do I press to cook the rice? The "preset" button or the rice button?

so... how long does it take to cook rice.....

I don't know exactly but it's approximately 30 minutes for white rice.

but my one cuts out after 2 minutes.

Return it if you can. You definitely got a dud. I've had mine for 2.5 years, and it still works perfectly.

I still have no idea how to use it, the instructions are as useless as my ability to know something I don't know

Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a recipe book which would be very helpful. For white rice, it's 2 cups of water and 1 cup of rice. For brown rice, 2.5 cups of water and 1 cup of rice
