I believe Lisa wouldn't have found success or been as successful as a solo artist however her TV hosting gigs would have carried her into American idol The voice or even her bringing back and old popular game show and hosting After 5 years she would have probably went back to the group in 2007

TLC was TLC because they all had a role and a talent and made them shine. They were the best selling female R&B group because they all contributed to the group. TLC was amazing because it had three women working together to create the empire they did.

:( @ how Lisa was so quiet during this interview. It's like she was just going through the motions. :( I know ppl don't like to hear this, but I believe that if Lisa did not pass away, she more than likely would have left the group after she fulfilled her contractual obligations to the group, record label, etc. To me, it would've been understandable because she was so limited in the group. The only time, in my opinion, Lisa had full shine was on their first album. She even lead a couple songs on that album, w/ Chilli & Tionne just singing the hooks. The albums after that, it was almost like she was just a featured rap artist. If y'all feel what I'm saying. I questioned these things back in the day, in real time. But, now that I know a little more about the back story, it makes complete sense to me why Lisa began to do the things she did. I don't think it had anything to do with the sisterhood she had with Tionne & Chilli; I believe that was unbreakable despite the strain her actions caused. Lisa began to grow mentally and spiritually, which caused her views to change. It became about her wanting creative freedom and more of a say. Very understandable. RIP Lisa!!

You and everyone else who knows the story. Funny you say you questioned it in real time because so did I. I began to refresh my memory after the movie came out by pulling out my old magazines.... Lisa was COMPLETELY justified in her position and sometimes when standing for what is right, we stand alone. That's how that goes.

Aww, I miss Rosie. She's truly a fan's fan.... You could tell Lisa was over the group by this point though because she hardly said anything the entire time. Great interview though.

When Lisa called Vibe and informed them she couldn't stand behind the project and that she wouldn't do anymore interviews until she could speak freely, magazines and interviewers began denying them press and interviews if Lisa was not present. She began to do the interviews but stuck to her position of not saying anything because she was not trying to cause anymore issues. As much, her bandmates were often on pins and needles because they wanted a perfect image and Lisa was always blatantly honest. BUT, Lisa never involved the media in their personal creative issues UNTIL AFTER the other two spoke to Entertainment Weekly and as they put it "vented" to the reporter who "caught them on a bad day".

When I was younger and noticed that Fanmail era, I didn't like Lisa for some reason, but when I saw more of her after that era before she passed. I got it, she really wanted to do her own thing. I was excited seeing her pursing things that she was longing to do. When she passed, and now look back at certain things, I get what she's saying

Because she record 8 solo tracks including “Crazy” that did not fit the style of the album and wanted to work with outside producers other than Dallas Austin and Babyface. So she wouldn’t show up to recording sessions that is why she wasn’t on “Silly Hoe” and that robot did the rap verse.

Lisa laugh is so cute man we are all going to miss her it's now been 18 years since she been gone Rest in peace left eye 😇😇😇

Left Eye was so tapped out this entire era she was battling so much internally and externally not being able to have her way as a creative is pretty debilitating to your mental health

I could tell Rosie was attracted to them in a sexual way either that or she was very flirtatious. HECK IT COULD BE BOTH. Her choice of words is suspect. Any time she's had an interview with them it's "you guys are so cute", "they're so gorgeous" etc. Trying to throw out signals to see who'd catch bate. I see you Rosie.

I know Chilli was very money hungry and didn’t want lefteye saying much or doing much anywhere because we all know lisa would speak straight facts and chilli saw that as a threat to their public image. That’s why i like her least. You can see her giving side eye to lisa in almost every interview after 1998. Sadly Lisa’s Goofy, funny side deteriorated along with her creative freedom as she just wasn’t feeling the group no more. TLC used to spend so much time with eachother in their early years and that’s when Lisa’s creativity and bubblyness thrived. They then started arguing more and only hanging out for work and Lisa became quiet, reserved, more clear in dialect. Chilli thought she was the shit at the time and let the fame get to her just because she was the pretty one. Tboz always kept it cool though. I love them all but i can’t help but say that Chilli contributed to lisa’s funny loud creative goofy side fading and i don’t like her for that. RIP Lisa💔

Candace Elisabeth I loved when she styled them. They haven't worked with her since the 3D era. Kara Saun from Project Runway styled them during the R U The Girl era and I'm not sure who they're working with now. Julie was the best though! I see she still converses with Tionne on Twitter.

I feel they should have stuck with her. I saw some of the looks designed for them now and they still look pretty good. I guess it was just an end of an era because their fashions grew less and less original and trendsetting and a little more traditional. I liked the fashions that set them apart.

Oh man I over looked this. Mybad! I have the 1999 appearance and performance on the Rosie show but I haven't uploaded it b/c it already on yt somewhere.

I always found that part of the movie misleading. They were wearing the outfits they wore at the 2000 Grammys but Lisa ' solo album wasn't put out (or rather not put out) in Aug of 2001.

That scene was more than misleading. There were many scenes that were misleading due to the very relevant incidents and occurrences leading up to certain things being omitted. Supernova was released August 14, 2001. The 2000 Grammy's was in February of 2000! There are many young fans who in some cases are just becoming familiar with the group, post Lisa. IMO having grown up during the entire TLC era and being practically an adult when all of the drama ensued, as well as having ALL of these actual magazines to this day, the movie was a very scattered and partially dishonest depiction of some things. But c'est la vie.
