Where did you buy the cream

Ok Now that you mentioned about the healing. Im working on a big tattoo piece Chest and arm and I am on the 4th session. The 1st I use nothing but second and so on Ive been using TKTX. For me was magical, no pain at all, all the session went great and heal great afterwards. I did noticed the healing process took longer than usual. What used to take 1-2 weeks would take 2 -4 weeks with the lotion. That didn't bother me as much. On my 4th session I use the lotion and maybe have over applied. I applied for 1 hour before the session and then applied more for another 30min during break (IDK why I applied more my arm was already numb). Sure enough when I got home the tattoo was burning more than usual when I shower. A few days later I noticed I got an infection, had to go to the hospital, took antibiotics. As of now I am still healing from the infection. I do see many pieces where I'll need to retouch. At least the infection was on the background and not in the outlines so I am glad didn't affect the lines it self. I dont know if was realted to the lotion. I do recognize that I was negligent taking care of it, but just sharing my experience out there.

I’m so sorry to hear that, but glad you’re overcoming the infection! I wonder if it was caused by a possible transfer of bacteria from the needle and/or ink? 🤔 Thankfully I have yet to experience any issues, however, every body heals differently. Wishing you the Best of luck! Thanks for sharing!

Ok my second session with TKTX green and again I got a really bad infection. For sure this time I can assume is the lotion since my previous session without tktx went normal. Yes I got really numb I didn’t feel a thing but soon as the effect is off the pain is much stronger then usual. Theres a few things I think my artist could have done wrong…. So here is so tips to make sure you don’t get an infection. Do not exceed 55 min with the lotion wrapped. - my artist wrapped waited 55 min and then start peeling off the wrap, as his working on my chest my arm still wrapped NOT GOOD make sure to wrap and remove within 55 min. Remove all the lotion with alcohol - after waiting for the 55 min remove the wrap and clean truly the skin with alcohol, make sure all the lotion is gone. Another mistake I believe he tattooed on top the lotion. Im recovering this really sucks and hurts a lot, plus is very ugly and disgusting I have pus coming out of my arm and huge holes on my skin. The natural way is always the best way!

How did you wash it off before you got the tattoo? You said water and alcohol? Can you please explain the process? I’m getting microneedling on my face and the instructions don’t say to rub it off but I’m worried about that when it comes to my face. I used the green before for a chest tattoo and didn’t rub it off and everything went fine. I’m more worried about my face than my chest in terms of a bad reaction. Thanks! Great video btw :)

What website did you get it from?

i asked my tattoo artist about numbing cream and she said she doesn’t feel comfortable tattooing me with it same reason your tattoo artist said (doesn’t want me to risk wasting $ and the tattoo healing properly) so hopefully it’s not too bad . she said she would have bactine w/ lidocaine but that’s only when she breaks my skin

@Veronica You should look for another artist. Theirs no reason for you to go through pain just cause of that one artist opinion. At the end of the day it’s your money not his. So what if you have to return for a touch up. At least you won’t go through pain. And unless you have extremely super sensitive skin , your tatt will heal just fine.

You should try tatuderm for after the tattoo

i had a question, so after 1 hour of having it on say your on your way to your appointment do you take off the wrap before you go ? and if you do how do you wash it off?

I removed the wrap when I got to the tattoo shop and wiped off all the cream using a paper towel and then with alcohol pads for a good thorough cleanse.

Did it affect the texture of your skin? And if yes, did the tattoo artist notice any difference? I plan to use to clean it up method before walking through the door method.

Great question! The cream left no trace of evidence on my skin and the tattoo artist was not able to tell. The only side effect was that my skin was numb for a VERY long time. I have not had any issues healing either.

it has epinephrine in it??? does that effect you in any negative way?? And if you use it for a big thigh tattoo do you think you would have any issues??? how long did you leave it wrapped for and how much cream did you put on the area??

I didn’t experience any negative side effects using this product. I applied the whole tube and kept it wrapped for an hour. Then cleaned my foot thoroughly prior to my tattoo session. If you have a large area being tattooed I suggest you purchase a few tubes.

Did you do a patch test before you used it?

Great question! I did a small test on my foot to make sure I didn’t have an allergic reaction. My skin did get red but that was it :)

Getting my first tattoo so ill be doing this for sure...

I wouldn't use on your first one just so you go thru the real tattoo experience. Unless your getting on your hand or some really painful spot.

My skin got a little pink, but it eventually went away. No further skin irritations :)

Thankfully when I used the whole tube, my skin was completely numb for roughly 7-8 hours.

@@OliviaDeArmentI used a whole tube in the end for my whole forearm and after 3hrs could definitely feel it to the point my tattoo artist had to apply it mid way threw on 2 occasions but when I got my hand done it was bearable then again alot less time only 3hrs for that one

I think she was offended because time is money and she was prepared to tattoo you and took time to book a day so I can understand why she was upset she had to wait for you to get ready and prepare yourself in the shop.

Actually I removed the numbing cream prior to checking in to the shop, but my skin was pink and she inquired. I was honest with her and that’s when she advised that she didn’t feel comfortable inking me. I get it. She has her brand and reputation to protect and I respect that. 👍

Why do the artist get offended

Great question? While I can’t speak on behalf of every artist, I can say that my artist was not offended, she was more so concerned. She was worried the cream might affect my healing or affect the ink. She didn’t want any skin irritations to come off as a reflection of her work, which is completely understandable.
