a pity the guitarwork is not is as good as it should be... from the first notes (being somebody else) over the rest of the gig you can hear (most of) these songs lack the genius of somebody like JM AERTS, this guitar player adds to many 'classic adult rock' licks but misses the essence of the songs ('no job no rock' misses the geoffrey burton guitar hook that defines the song), makes the overall sound like.. well... a coverband... sorry mr guitarman, you can play.. but...

I think the guitar sounds as Arno wants it to sound. You want to hear JM Aerts? Go listen TCMatic. You want G. Burton? Go listen... This is Tjens Matic. And it is as fresh as it can be.

I would like to add that this is a superb rythmsection. And OF COURSE this is a coverband, because the songs are older than the band themselves.

Hi Gunter, I agree with you. Miss the riddles of Jean Marie Aerts en the lighter, funky sound. Liked the freshness and spontanity of the first creation.

I agree, JMX was much more precise , TC Matic was much more powerfull in the original line up; here the songs sometimes just go just nowhere, they float, not that the guitarplayer is bad, a bit too rock.. The original stuff is so good that it shouldn't be touched...
