I have weardly gone past the whole thing even tho in here finland about a 10 years ago was a company that sold the carts first from a truck in like say schools out days etc. (when people gathered). They also had an online store but tried to set up and I think it barely was like a week open as selling "bakery goods" aka just carts and everything you need before they passed laws on it. Something like a bakery store have to have certain amount of items or something. I did buy balloons filled with it in Laos in this bar so I do have tried it. The first hit was funny because it makes every sound multiply but in perfect blend, like a good song mix so my friend was: "The speakers are reallyreally good here, just listen to the quality" and I said back after listening a bit: "Naah it's the nitrous, beleave me, I've done my fare share of psychedelics and similar effects can happen". There was no reasoning with him, he was so convinced that it is the speakers so I just said that well let's just wait a little longer and see 😄 Like a half a minute passes and he just is yeah defininetly isn't the speakers, I was so sure of it!

It's also a basically harmless drug, I hate how there's so many people that think Nitrous is some super dangerous drug that kills your braincells, they just hear someone else tell them that and believe it without doing any research. The only downside is it can lower your B12 levels if you do way too much, but that can easily be fixed. Also the other thing I hate is when people say it works by cutting oxygen off to your brain, which is stupid, people would just hold their breath instead if that's how nitrous worked.

One time I showed up at a music festival on a Thursday and left on Sunday. For 4 days straight - no sleep, I watched a dude form a mountain of whip-it canisters next to his tent chair. He didn't move all weekend, even to use the bathroom. He never went to a show. Didn't talk to his friends. I don't think he slept. Was probably on coke or whatever, too. It was one of the most insane things I've ever seen. Not in a rad way. I don't plan on playing with that stuff ever again. Did my fair share x20. Had enough WOMWOMWOMWOMs and sounding like Satan. I could feel it actually killing brain cells, and that was it. Not trying to lose my mind FOREVER. I get the appeal at a young age. I don't get the appeal after idk 23. I'll take amyl nitrate over nitrous oxide, but not a fan of either of the hippie cracks. Not good for the brain......but, dude.....running as fast as you can on boomers with a double balloon of nitrous you're inhaling instead of oxygen... I'd recommend doing that at least once if you can handle your shit. I was legit hovering over the ground, watching my floating feet as I flew up and down a mountain lol. Wild stuff. And can't be drug-tested for. That's the scary part. I've seen people wreck cars, huffing that shit because they got caught with weed. Glad times are finally changing, but not fast enough.

So from a harm reduction stand point it's not dangerous like many other inhalable gasses. The only thing you really need to be concerned about is that prolonged use will inhibit the body's production of body usable B12. This can cause permanent nerve damage, including brain damage. To avoid this if you are going on a bender you can take Cyanocobalamin daily until a few weeks after you stop use. Still possible to choke your brain out of oxygen if you almost only breath nitrous so make sure to take breaths between hits.

That's you looking for excuses, just because someone can do something and be okay doesn't mean you can. This is an error in logic and is laughable to anyone who doesn't have an IQ below 100. Nitrous oxide is actually safe if used rarely and from a balloon and not directly from the can. But frequent use will give you B12 deficiency which is one of the worst deficiencies you can have.

Must be a west coast thing. You never hear of anyone doing or trying nitros in Tennessee. But we do have a HUGE meth and pill epidemic here and the flow is neverending unfortunately. Glad I got away from drugs.

A) I may have recently developed either schizophr3nia and/or some type of advanced multiple personality disorder as a result of this drug B) i still have a sense of humor, and I hate that the thumbnail shows the two of them laughing their asses off for some reason - talk about fucking irony C) Seriously people, stay the fuck away from this drug. Nitrous is actually one of the most nontoxic safest recreational drugs their is...as long as you inhale it without sealing off your airway. Its the behavior that usually comes along with extreme nitrous use that can be dangerous like driving on it or using other drugs together with it to boost its effects like mdma or lsd.

@Dawson Ages Nitrous oxide is not effective because it cuts oxygen off to your brain. It is a nontoxic dissociative anesthetic. Back in the 1800s when it was discovered high society would have laughing gas parties as a parlor trick. Cutting oxygen to the brain is always bad...nitrous doesn't do this. Some idiots have done things like putting bags over their heads to breath it and the suffocate. Laughing gas is so safe it's used on children, animals, and people during outpatient procedure. When I plan dental work I call to see if they have gas sedation, if not I don't book the appointment. It takes what can be an extremely uncomfortable experience like dental work and makes it feel like you are floating around above your body in shear bliss.

Hell, amazon sells 120 cream chargers for $45 bucks. It's a hell of a lot safer than doing a hard drug like opiates or amphetamines. Actually, safer than even alcohol if you keep safety in mind. Nitrous is a drug, it works by itself on the brain, if you'd ever tried nitrous and seen how powerful of a drug it was then you would see how stupid the whole idea that it works by cutting oxygen from your brain sounds. If you could get as high as nitrous got you by just cutting oxygen off to your brain then people would just be holding their breath, not wasting their money in whippet cartridges. Also you only hold Nitrous in your lungs for about 10-15 seconds at the most, your brain can go a lot longer than 10-15 seconds without oxygen without doing any damage. People hold their breath for 3 minutes and their brain is fine. Nitrous is a completely safe drug, it's used by dentists as an anesthetic all the time.
