Those three hooks were beautiful and so smart, cody thought he had him hurt and probably assumed he was using the hand to defend but as soon as he stepped into range he at 3 crisp shots.

The problem with Cody is he can NOT control his emotions in that octagon. It’s like Mike Tyson and Cus (RIP) said “Fighting has so little to do with physical attributes you’d be surprised, it’s a war of psychology”. If Cody had the discipline he would be able to improve in the areas he is vulnerable in.

My 13 year old fights emotional too. All his fights have been SO sloppy. We work on controlling distance (he’s tall and lanky) and like 2 punches into it he’s grabbing throats or clinching lol. Wtf. 🤷‍♂️ It’s hard to simulate in training environments the shit leading up to a fight. The shit talk, bullying, harassment and to let that shit go when it’s time. Obviously a 13 year old ain’t gonna have that built in.

Cody should never have taken this rematch. After the first TJ fight he should have taken time off to fix the issues with his game. Instead he kept trying to chase back his former glory by fighting hammer after hammer. A step down in opponent is what's needed so he can get a couple of wins before fighting another top 10 guy

I don’t think his chin was the issue in this fight. It was his lack of movement. TJ NAILED him with the exact same right hook literally three times in a row while he was trying to load up, that’s what knocked him down and Taj took advantage of it.

Yes. Only on Dec 28 2018 and Jan 18 2019, less than a month apart during the time period of the Henry Cejudo fight, did they find EPO. And this is after they checked his entire history since 2015 when USADA took over UFC testing, all 6 Dillashaw fights from 2016 thru the Cejudo fight 2019. This comes from UFC Vice Pres of Athlete Health and Performance at the time Jeff Novitsky, and USADA.

Tj threw a good lower body kick soon in the fight, then Cody returned a high kick of which was more impactful sounding quite quickly after, then they both hit each other with a body kick at the same time right after that, but Cody's looked like it had more torque. Tj's powerful blow-like strikes all at once like last time though...

Negative. Here, let me help. TJ Dillashaw tested positive with his sample on Jan 18 2019, the day before his Jan 19 2019 loss to Henry Cejudo. Tested positive for EPO. Henry Cejudo fight, 2019. Then USADA tested his prior sample history, per UFC Vice Pres Jeff Novitsky. USADA took over UFC testing in 2015, and checked all samples of TJ Dillashaw during that start time up to 2019 when he was suspended. TJ had 6 fights in that span. 1 sample came back positive for EPO, and that was December 28, 2018. TJ Dillashaw fought, and beat, Cody Garbrandt on Nov 4, 2017. His test sample from that fight was not positive. No failed test, even when USADA went back to double check. TJ fought, and beat, Garbrandt again on this fight August 4, 2018. His test sample from this fight was not positive. No failed test, even when USADA went back to double check. Only on Dec 28 2018 and Jan 18 2019, less than a month apart during the time period of the Henry Cejudo fight, did they find EPO. And this is after they checked his entire history since 2015. So no.
