TITLE OVER?: Will Liverpool’s POOR Finishing Cost Them?! | Monday Vibes

Спорт

Hello and welcome back to Football Daily where today we are analysing the latest round of Premier League fixtures.
Does Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Man United at Old Trafford end their title hopes? Should Mo Salah, Nunez and Szoboszlai have finished their chances better? What does Kobbie Mainoo's goal mean for his England hopes? And so much more...
As if that wasn't enough we also analyse the race for the Top 4 with Aston Villa dropping points against Brentford and Spurs recovering from being pegged back to beat Nottingham Forest! That'll give plenty of hope to Luton Town, who beat Bournemouth 2-1 on Saturday.

What you have talked about with Villa and mentality is the exact reason why Arsenal had to get rid of Emery. He is a wonderful coach clearly, but I don't think he does enough to change the mentality at a club, which is exactly what Arteta has done. At the worlds top clubs the tactics are not enough, there is a mentality that needs to be there. Look at City, champions mentality.

At some point it's going to sink in for Chelsea fans that this is just their reality in a world without Roman. It's how they lived for 100 years before him, it's normal that they're returning to it after him. Also, funny stat about Chelsea, if you removed Palmers penalties this season they would be on 29 points, joint 15th with Brentford and if you took all of his goal contributions away they'd be on 25 points, joint with Forest and Luton. It brings me so much joy to see that club in this position.

@@user-qz8gy8jm5bSo you picked a 7 year window that they didn’t finish “outside the top 6” (which wasn’t even a relevant stat because top 6 wasn’t the same level of achievement as it is nowadays, you didn’t even get a European place for finishing 4th in the 90s) to try and say that they weren’t a small club before Roman? You do know that before Roman they spent more seasons outside the top flight of English football than in the top division? Yes, they had a league title but while they had 1, Everton had 9, Villa had 7, Sunderland had 6 (Chelsea are still only level with them today), Newcastle and Sheffield Wednesday had 4, Wolves, Leeds, Huddersfield and Blackburn had 3, Preston, Derby, Spurs, Burnley and Portsmouth all had 2. Chelsea had the same amount of league titles as Sheffield United, West Brom, Ipswich and Forest.

@@tomgoodson3867 I get that but none of that takes away from what Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man City are doing! There are always going to be issues in games. Mancity had the through ball to Haaland which Advantage wasn't played, Arsenal had the first leg with Newcastle! Also, the fact that Arsenal has the same points as Liverpool with more losses means that Arsenal has won more games compared to Liverpool who has more draws. Again I'm not saying that the game wasn't disappointing but he shouldn't be disappointed to be behind Arsenal or Man City considering their injury issues and I say opposite is also true for the other teams as well.

Completely disagree on the penalty discussion. Total penalty for me, and I do not see how that’s not a foul; it’s literally a late challenge that clips Elliott, if he “expected contact” it does not matter, it’s still a horrible challenge from Bissaka.
