Considering I'm 80% sure that this was animated and directed by SEK studios, you might be right about them not knowing. The studio is based out of North Korea and gets contracted by a lot of Italian and Japanese companies

@@Unus_Annus_ the movie is great and for kids. Kids don’t need to know how many people died on the ship. And tot his day, we still don’t know how many people died on titanic.

What makes this very odd is the filmmakers definitely did SOME research about the Titanic, and a few moments are pulled straight from history. -The old rich couple deciding to stay on the ship together are based off Ida and Isidor Straus. Ida refused to leave her husband, and they decided to go down together. -Gaston surviving because he's a yachtsman is based off a real exchange. When one of the lifeboats needed more men to row it, Charles Lightoller asked if anyone was a sailor. Arthur Godfrey Peuchen, a Canadian soldier, said he could do it. He was asked if he was a sailor and responded "I'm a yachstman." He was the only man Lightoller permitted to board a lifeboat. -Yes, there were dogs on the Titanic. Three survived. -Third class passengers were barred from the upper decks by gates, but were not done so to keep them in third. Rather, third class passengers were evacuated by stewards to the top decks, and the reason it is believed that third class passengers were held in steerage deliberately during the sinking, is a passenger named Daniel Buckley attempted to get to the lifeboats, but was blocked by the gates--since he survived he gave his account of the sinking and made the claim. but the reason the gates were kept closed is actually that it was to PREVENT loss of live in third class--trying to go up using the barred staircases would likely result in getting lost, and taking a much longer route than the one the Stewards were taking people. Passengers eventually were able to make their way on deck, and as the situation got more desperate, officers Lightoller, Murdoch and Lowe were equipped with revolvers, and would threaten male passengers attempting to board boats without their permission. ("Can't go through this way, don't make me resort to violence") One of the ways Third Class were able to get on deck was the opening or breaking of windows, like we see William do in the film. Some people boarded from lower decks. -The real First Officer of the Titanic was William McMaster Murdoch, he did not survive. But the First Officer in this film appears to be based off Charles Lightoller ("Women and children only" (as we see the First Officer say in this film) was what Lightoller misinterpreted the order as, rather than "women and children first." The threatening of passengers and general rough character brings to mind Fifth Officer Lowe, and the refusal to rescue passengers, while not unique, is similar to Quartermaster Robert Hichens (He refused to help rescue passengers because he believed there was "only a lot of stiffs there.") -Captain Smith actually looks like Captain Smith. Compared to the other animated Titanic from Italy, where they look nothing alike. -One of Angelica's stepsisters goes back below decks to get her jewels, something many passengers did. Maybe a nitpick. -The survival of the main characters is not that surprising. Most of the main characters are females from First or Second Class, or First Class men. First Class men had the best shot at surviving out of all male passengers, whereas nearly all First Class women survived, and most Second Class women as well. Sam Bradbury being pulled from the ocean is also not implausible, about thirty men were pulled from the ocean the next day, and a few others the night before. How the two Horace and Jasper guys survived I don't know. -The musicians did indeed play music during the evacuation. There was no large breasted singer present, but they played to keep passengers calm. -William handing off a child to a lifeboat, but unable to be saved himself, is based off a story that Captain Smith was discovered in the water by a boat, that he was able to pass off a child to a lifeboat before dying. -People wonder about the mice's nationality. Now there may have been mice on the Titanic (we are talking about a ship that was four city blocks long) and while they didn't wear clothes or talk, they're intended to be Swedish--there were a lot of Swedish passengers aboard the real life ship. -The sinking sequence is actually more accurate than the one portrayed in "A Night to Remember." The lights flicker off, the stern of the ship rises as the compartments fill with water, the funnels collapse and possibly crush people, and then the ship breaks in two. The reason for this is that at the time "A Night to Remember" came out, it was not settled science yet that the ship broke in two. -The Titanic's head chef, Charles Joughin, survived the sinking much as the chef in this film does. No, there were no talking mice that aided in his survival. He was the last man to leave the Titanic, descending into the ocean, and swimming and treading water for hours before finding the overturned collapsible B lifeboat that Lightoller and 30 others were clinging to. He had imbibed a good deal of whiskey before entering the water, and thus was not as cognizant of the below freezing conditions. Minor stuff: -There were no Mexican mice on the Titanic but there was one Mexican passenger (in first class). He died. -Third Class passengers who survived recalled the fun they had below decks the night of the sinking. I guess you could say it was indeed "Party Time"

Moondog 151 yeah that is weird also when lights go out, the water hasn't even reached the bridge yet but suddenly the ship is at 45 degree angle and the you see the captain still on the BRIDGE that's supposed to be already under water. Why couldn't they make it like in the intro? Was it really necessary to have the ship 3 times split in half and suddenly seeing just the stern sinking just to see the ship split again and sinking again??

The Italians fail to understand that the Titanic is an important part of Liverpool's History because the White Star Line Company was based in Liverpool and the Titanic was registered at Liverpool as were a lot of ships the White Star Line owned.

Agreed, the earlier and future movies by Mondo haven’t a clue as to what they’re doing. When you really think about it, this one at least stayed true to the fact that most who boarded the titanic didn’t survive. This is by far the only good titanic movie we have now.

Ok that dog rap was way too random, I woulda thought I changed the channel on accident if I saw that on tv

I feel like the animation for the rapping dog was finished by an animation studio in America. But they were only given a brief description like "we need animation of a singing dog that looks like this" and they took it way too literal.

Actually, this IS the edited version. The original version contains dialogue, scenes and songs that were cut from the American version. So if this is as good as it can get, I wanna see the original version to rip it open.

Imagine watching this movie on shrooms. Why'd you choose this over millions of other movies but hey you'll either be traumatized or singing its Party Time.

I think Warner Brothers Animation should pick this film if Tom and Jerry are to be given an adventure on the RMS Titanic and made at Leavesden Studio jointly supported by the Titanic Museum in Belfast and the Maritime Museum in Liverpool and made historically accurate when Angelica and William are reunited on Carpathia..

YOU guys, look what I got off of the Wikipedia of this movie! "The American cut version features a completely different plot, songs, and dialogues. Entire scenes were edited in different sequence, and others have been removed or re-used, such as the opening scene that was replaced with a flashback showing the sinking of the Titanic. Additional dialogue and various one-liners were added into originally silent scenes, along with new music scores and wacky cartoon sound effects. A notable example is Fritz's song: in the English version he is an unnamed rapping dog who sings "Party Time", which is not present in the original version" So basically, I wanna see the original

If I did a remake of Titanic The Legend Goes On I would use the title "Walter Lord's A Night To Remember" in loving memory of William MacQuitty if I reopened Cosgrove Hall Animation Studios, the Titanic Disaster would be Cosgrove Hall's first animated epic.

The historical accuracy of this movie is astounding... you would have never guessed that hip-hop was originated by seafaring sheepdogs in the early 1900s

Great story, smooth frame rate, original characters, and on top of all the worlds best editing. 10/10 would rap again.

You gotta love the clumsy editing, idiotic characters, the slapstick humor and a hilariously bad rap number that all ties into the sinking of the Titanic. 10/10

The background, shading, and the drawing style is nice, but they recycle animation so much and a lot of times it slows down or speeds up. It's very inconsistent.

@@bowens9211 They don't finish conversation properly in the film, they introduce useless characters and plots, they also stole a bunch of characters from films such as: Cinderella and 101 dalmatians. Also this movie has no respect for the actual titanic for giving it some sort of childish " happy ending". Titanic never had a happy ending so why would they talk about where everyone is after? 1500 people died, it was a tragedy, not a and everyone lived a happily ever after.

Here's a funny thing about this movie's English dub. All the voice actors in it also dubbed Italian horror movies (including Zombie, Suspiria and City of the Living Dead), exploitation movies (like Cannibal Holocaust) and spaghetti westerns (the detective was voiced by the guy who directed the English dub of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly). Knowing this somehow makes the movie funnier to me.
