This was done in one take and was supposed to be a demo only. It was perfect so they added the rest of the instrumentation and included it in the credits. They also produced a single version that has a lot more to it.

Amazing! This version was the original demo which they used in the movie. She recorded it in one take.

This version is by far the best one I've heard.

There wasn’t one part in this movie that I didn’t like. From beginning to end, this movie was utterly perfect

I always felt that this end credit version is quite different from others

The song has 2 versions, the one from the video of the movie has a few changes, but the second one is this, it sounds different to you because it's a bit higher, but it's the same

@@anushribhatt2045 this is the same version as the first take (the one that's not in the movie video), it's just half a tone or so higher here that's why it sounds different but it's the same

Pour ceux qui se le demandent : Il existe deux versions de cette chanson. Celle qu'on trouve sur l'album de Céline Dion "Let's talk About Love" de 1997 qui est la même que celle qui est sortie en version single, en clip vidéo et à la radio à l'époque. La deuxième version est celle qu'on entend ici dans le générique et qu'on retrouve sur la B.O de "TITANIC". Il s'agit dans les deux cas de la même prise de voix. Seule l'instrumentation change. La version ici tourne à 104 %, donc le ton de la chanson est légèrement plus élevé. C'est peut-être dû au fait qu'aux U.S.A., les films sont en 24 images par secondes. En Europe, c'est 25 images par secondes, mais je n'en suis pas certain. En tous cas, toutes les versions européenne "vidéo et DVD" du film tournent à cette vitesse un peu plus élevée. Pour faire ce générique, j'ai donc utilisé la version de la B.O "TITANIC" et je l'ai accélérée de 104 % pour qu'elle colle à la perfection à ce qu'on entend à la fin du film.

Aside from the song, I need to state how It always impresses me when i see the end credits of such a huge movie production. Seriously, Look how many people were involved! Must be thousands! a small army! :) Really impressive, come to think of it.

omg.. The synth outro of this version after she hits that last note is so much better than the MV version. way more edgy and cool

God I love this version so much better. It's more raw and it feel more intimate. I know that this was just a demo that they used for the movie but it's Perfection you didn't need anything to spice it up

And to think that this song ALMOST didn’t become a thing…. James Cameron specifically said ‘no’ to songs so his movie wouldn’t sound commercial. Celine Dion at first didn’t like it and didn’t want to sing it, but her co-producers convinced her into recording a demo, which is THIS version on the movie soundtrack. It was recorded in 2 takes. (She later admitted she was wrong, and was glad nobody listened to her ‘no’.) James Horner waited 4 weeks until Cameron was in a good mood to play it for him. Horner justified it by saying it was the main theme which distills everything about the film in it. After multiple screen tests, Cameron eventually said ‘yes’ to the song… 3 weeks before the film was finished.

La plus belle musique de tous les temps que j'ai pu entendre pour un générique de fin, j'en ai les larmes aux yeux chaque fois que j'entends la chanson de Céline Dion tellement elle est émouvante à retranscrire toute la tristesse de cette romance tragique qu'a vécu Rose. Merci à James Cameron pour ce chef-d’œuvre intemporel qui ne vieillira jamais et réussira à traverser les générations grâce à sa superbe maitrise de la mise en scène, de l'écriture du scénario, du montage et qui effectué des recherches drastiques/détaillées/profondes sur le naufrage du Titanic pour aboutir à cet impressionnant résultat de reconstitution de la tragédie afin d'être le plus réaliste possible à ce qu'il s'est passé le 14/04/1912, surtout quand on prend en compte qu'il été jusqu'à sacrifier son salaire de réalisateur afin de pouvoir mener le projet jusqu'au bout et il a réussi à atteindre son objectif en remportant 11 Oscars et presque 21 millions d'entrées en France ainsi qu'1,8 milliards de recettes au box-office mondial. Bravo également au regretté James Horner pour avoir composé la meilleure OST de sa carrière.

I think it's much better going from the first chorus straight into the 2nd verse (as is done here) rather than with the flute insert that they did in the released single/album version. Anyone else agree?
