I love the fact that this movie came out 26 years ago and people are still obsessed about it. Just like I was at 17 when it was made. There were no social media back then, I had just cout outs from magazines to entertain me.

@@knowme2877 Titanic is a movie made by James Cameron in 1997, and starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet as the main protagonists Jack Dawson and Rose DeWhitt-Bukater. Those two characters and a few others are fictional, but the historic events regarding the real steam liner Titanic’s tragic virgin voyage in 1912 is depicted with widly acclaimed accuracy, including many historic people who were on board the Titanic when she hit an ice berg, and sank in the middle of the Atlantic ocean (several days before she was meant to reach her destination in New York) taking 1500 people (both passangers and crew) down with her. The movie is centered around Jack and Rose’s doomed love story; Rose is a rich aristocratic lady who traveles in 1st class while Jack is a poor 3rd class passenger. They meet on board the ship and fall in love, but they can’t be together because Rose is engaged to a prick, and (more importantly) the devide between social classes were strictly implemented back in those times, so it would be a huge scandal. Around half way through the 3 hour long movie, Titanic hits the ice berg and the rest is a lot of action as the protagonists are trying to stay alive and stay together. It’s still a really good movie, you should watch it.

Oh my God, me too...Titanic was huge back then, all of the teen magazines in my country were about the movie and these amazing actors. I was in my high school years and almost all of my girl friends talked about Leo :D I heard James Cameron, the director, is quite demanding during the shooting process. Maybe they both faced the same condition but they counted on to each other to the point they have a strong bond, beautiful friendship, until now.
