The other thing it is perfect, is for lighting up the basement steps. If the house is in the process of being remodeled to have these lights installed to make the basement access easier and safer. Why? Because going down to the basement is often dark and dangerous. Overall I really like that idea!

It looks cool but it kind of looks like the LEDs and the sensor is protruding out from the wall, where if the family does have kids, will most likely damage the sensor and LEDs.... What about using a recessed sensor?

Couldn't you just place the box over the outlet and connect it directly instead of using a bulky adaptor in an outlet a few inches away form it?

+FoodOnCrack For that matter, they could've wired the control panel directly into the house's electrical grid. That said, it's better to have an adapter that can be easily unplugged when necessary, than a complex or unreliable breaker control that may not protect the hardware from lightning strikes.

Great idea. You sound like a pretty smart guy. Now let's put some action behind your words. You should make the type that you are talking about. I'm sure you'll have a ready waiting market for it. I'll be your first customer.

What the hell does "WUT" mean, moron? You mean, 'WHAT?' Also, you can talk the talk but can you walk? Make your cheaper "better" version and post the video. Of course, if you can't even spell 'what' correctly, I suspect you don't know how to use a manual screw driver - let alone a powered one.
