In all seriousness though, Guys! Thank you for the feedback on this Custom Collectable! I knew the paint job on the eyes wasn't the best. But practice makes perfect I guess and with my shaky hands I felt I got it to where it was passable. And keep in mind it's all for a bit of fun :) Much love to you all, Chris

At first i wasn't too sure about the white speckles on the body, but know that i think of it- perfectly captures the cosmic look of Thanos :^)

Eyes are too white. Should’ve gone for a more off white. And I think a finer paint brush would help.

Thanos (comics) always has Black eyes with colored irises. I know the movie doesn’t but that white is too bright. Also, that white dulled his skin too bright compared to the original color. I would have loved to have seen him darker than the start version, one time I wasn’t completely impressed by Chriss’s custom design. Maybe a clear glitter coat (or black) administered the same way the light white was would have been better. This just didn’t hold up in the skin and head areas. Everything else was top notch though!

As someone who regularly does portraits, yeah white was not really the best choice for the "whites" of the eyes. Most of the time it's better to use a medium grey, that's slightly tinted with the skin color of the subject. This helps keeps the "whites" noticeable, but still sit back a little (as they are supposed too). It also makes the pure white "reflective" highlight on the eyes pop a whole bunch more, giving them better sense of depth.
Now this, puts a smile on my face
The eyes are Superman’s mustache
Lol, those eyes... Two things I don't agree with on this repaint: the eyes, the new white freckles on Thanos' skin.

The eyes on the knock-off look better than the official. The rest of my knock-off is pretty poor but going to do this to it just without the white dots.
The painting of eye reminds me of toy story haha.. awesome work especially the gauntlet

In this one the before of the figure is actually better than the after (in my opinion)

Hey Chris I live in Cronulla NSW, so refreshing to find out that an Aussie legend such as yourself lives in the same city COS-PLAYERS DO IT BEST!!!
I think it's awesome how you can customize figures! Great job!
I like the eyes I think it gives Thanos a more unhinged look and if you look back on his comic book history I say you nailed it
Excellent work as always Chris 🖖
Amazing Chris Just Simply Amazing
Great job as always Chris!!
Thanks for this vid. Applied a couple of the techniques from this vid to the baf thanos custom I'm doing for someone and it came out amazing.
those eyes strike deep to my soul
The eyes!!!!
Another classic Chris!!! I look forward to all your customs!
I was skeptical about that skin speckling...but then i saw it on the overall figure and it looks badass.
Marvel should hire you for toy design. And prop design. And just....EVERYTHING THAT INCLUDES DESIGN.
No dirt from the driveway used- 0/10! Amazing vid as usual man.
Yes Chris love everything you do especially you’re custom collectibles you’re the best KZreadr out there

Chris you are a beautiful human being, keep up this brillant work, your are so inspirational. ☺ Alex
Hello! Great work, as usual!! The only issue, as many pointed out, are in the eyes. I am going to give you some pieces of advice, just in case you want to try next time when painting eyes. This is the way I have been taught and rectified. I also learnt by try and error and I am still trying to even better my technique. Fist, one of the most important things is the base color of the eye. It is not pure white. Normally it is a mix of colors: A tiny portion of black and four times the amount of white. It must result in a non bright white (more or less). Another mix used is a mixture in even parts of blue and red, creating a purple colour and then adding third parts of white approximately. This will turn out in a white color with a shade of blueish. Thin it with whater untill you get a medium consistency. After this, the cornea is created. Use a mix of white and black to create a dark grey color. Then the most critical step appears: The creation of the iris. Here everything will come to life or will result in a disaster in terms of realism. Use first the base color of the eye. Then, create different dark and light shades of this base color. From the center of the iris to the cornea, paint with thin strokes of these different shades (Use the thinnest brush you can find: 000 7 for example). When satisfied, add the pupil in the middel with black colour and seal it with glitter lacquer. When you gain some confidence, you might add some veins inside the eye, and paint the lacrimal and interior part of the eyelid. Also, to add some more realism, paint with a very big load of water and a tiny portion of black the eyelashes line. That will also help to create an intese look and depth. I hope it helps. Keep on the good work!!
Great job CC! 😎👍🏾
G'day Chris, fellow Aussie here! love your work and content man, you did a brilliant job with the Thanos figure!! keep up the amazing work bro!
God I love these videos!! He's so good!!
Great video as always Chris! I'd love to see you tackle another lightsaber custom collectable. I've always thought a recreation of the broken lightsaber from Last Jedi could be an awesome display piece.
You nailed it at the eyes
That turned out great! I always overlook the titan series but I guess I need to think outside the box!
ive seen titan heroes before and i was like naaah but this year i saw titan hero thanos...and my oh my it was the 1st titan hero i bought bec it really is a good looking figure and now im completing the infinity war series titan and buying other "heroes" from previous releases.im planning to customize them someday. ❤❤❤ art is therapeutic and stress relieving
great job! inspired me to pimp out my items as well. thanks!
This heh heh heh heh, does put a smile on my face.

I held this figure, and I was hoping you had a video for it. Thank you.
Omg that looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!
you really are profetional in these props
I'm a big fan from Mexico, love your ART but this time I feel the eyes kinda distract me from the rest of this masterpiece of yours. Greetings!
That was Brilliant!
He looks awesome. Very scary. Great job!👍
That looks awesome!
Liking that 12 inch Spawn fig in the background ;)
This is awesome! U should build the portal behind him
awesome! I love the metallic sheen!
This is so cool. Also I think you should put a tad bit of null oil on the eyes just to give them more detail and make them darker
Wow,You're A Legend!
it looks awesome Chris u are the dude
Hey!Wanted to give u a tip: For the eyes mix a lil bone color with the white, so it doesn't end up dead flat white, and 2 drops of water to the equivalent of 4 drops of that mix, easier to paint on for the iris take a 0.3mm mech pencil and trace the lines of the iris, fill it in later with the color of choice, remember that most of the time the iris is like a parenthesis not a full on circle For the pupil do a lil dot with the pencil and if chosen to, fill it with paint Last step, and hardest, trace the edge of the eyelids with the mech pencil, hard but gives a great result Just trying to help a tad Thanks for your vids
That looks mad!
Gnarly job dude! 🤙🤙

Honest question. I know that with custom, the paint is rarely as smooth because often bristles rather than airbrushing, but why is there no sheen? Is that an extra clear coat step customizers don't take or is there an actual difference in the paint manufacturers use that gives the paint more of a shiny finish?
Please we want more of these!!
I personally think that the eyes look good.
Looks great, man.

Just want to say - THAT LOOKS F**KING AWESOME!!! I have always enjoyed doing makeovers and customization... Got into it through WH40K and D&D... And I have seen so many collectibles that i have wanted to buy just to Make Over as you have with Thanos here!!! The original is good - Your Custom paint job is FAR FAR BETTER!
Great job! I think the eyes look good, they’re tough to do well. Cheers!
And I love how the foot marks look on that plate it really looks like it's cracked
Awesome custom man
A new paint job on the Marvel Legends Thanos would be very rad
Wow!.... you make it look so easy, I want to experiment with some figures, but I’m from México and I don’t know where to find the products you use, again great work!
Hi Chris.........An excellent job as usual........I still Don't know why you arent working for one of the big Toy Stuidos...Your Tallent is amazing....Keep up the Fantasic work !!!!
cut the cracks through the entire wood base and put an orange/yellow LED with a diffuser (like some foam) in between to make the cracks glow
Instead of the white spray paint, I would recommend getting into airbrushing. For pretty cheap you can get a variable flow airbrush and compressor, and it would allow you to better control the flow of paint like when you did the white paint. And no more rattle cans!
Hey, Chris do you always have to prime a plastic peice before adding shoe polish? If so can I add a clear sealer afterward? Id apreiciate any advice you could give, you’re the man when it comes to this stuff.
