Hello, Thank you for the video, this is very helpful. can you provide the communication parameters you have set on the brother tc229n and what is set on the titan for the communication settings. I have this dnc unit would love to get it up and running.

Does it matter which usb port you use? my titan box only works with the upper usb port.

is possible run a helix proccess in this machine?

Hi, How did you get the Titan DNC powered? I bought a Brother TC-229 a while back and the titan CNC, and I have to use a power adapter to turn it on. Thanks in advance.

It is powered through the communication cable. I can post the pinout on either end tomorrow. The standard rs232 connector on the Brother has power to it.

@@allantolentino2992 Here is the pinout (DB25->DB9) : 2->2, 3->3, 4->8, 5->7, 6->4, 7->5, 20->6, 25->9. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions about the machine.

Pls, for me ask your CNC's model is TC-229 or TC-229N? I have TC-229, But I don't know how can I make a program (G-code) for it.

Hi, this is a TC-229N with the G Code control. I do not believe that the conversational control will run G Code.

@@rafaelvaldez1928 HI, yes this will work with your machine. I currently have it installed on a tc-r2a which has the same a00 control. I will make a short video tomorrow showing all the parameters. It makes life pretty easy being able to transfer programs by usb.

You have to match the setting to your cnc machine. Make sure your cnc is set to receive from PTR (Portable Tape Reader) or Com. Depends on your control. Make sure the bits and baud rate are the same. Then it should receive at that point. I used one similar to this and a couple of micro dnc 2. They're pretty neat.

some older machine doesn't like it if you go pass 4800 baud rate. I personally would not go pass 9600 just because 9600 in my opinion is a safest speed too fast and you might jump lines
