I was using an original Colt 1911 manufactured in 1918 as my 'Truck Gun'. My great uncle brought it back from France in 1918. A friend of mine yelled at me for using a valuable historic familly heirloom as a truck gun. I asked "where can I get a 1911 as reliable , accurate and tough as my original Colt? For less than $1500? He said one word: "Tisas" I bought one, about 6 months ago, and ran the hell out of it at the range . Over 200 rounds, no problems or stoppages. It also hit everything I aimed it at. Now I trust that pistol. It has an important job.

Turkey has modern cutting edge technology in the firearms industry. Several companies are producing high quality modern firearms at affordable fair prices, making the competition "big names" companies very nervous. Here in the USA, thousands of American gun owners are becoming fans of guns made in Turkey, and Tisas Zigana is one them! Keep it up! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Yup--and the Regent which was the very first Turkish 1911 import I'm aware of which I've now had for about six years absent a single problem (honestly I do not shoot .45acp as much as my 9mm's solely due to costs but I know I have $750 worth of bulk ammo through it which averages out to be around 2500 rounds). Not to veer off on a tangent, but the Turkish Hi-Cap 15 round K2-45 is one of the single best pistols I have ever owned full-circle (same for several of my Turkish shotguns which approach Benelli territory...).

Tisas, what is the actual finish on the 1911 Duty Stainless model? It looks like some sort of sprayed on coating, like a paint. know it's not a real stainless finish. What is the finish?

I have a Canik Tp9. Love it. Now wanna try other Turkish firearms. I hear gun salesmen here in the states trying to deter customers from going with Turkish products, but when you ask me I know Turks don’t make cheap stuff. They never have, never will. It’s against their very culture. But that doesn’t mean they don’t make inexpensive. The best value on the gun market today in the states comes from all the a Turkish brands and Taurus. Pretty much anything else your overpaying for a name.

Recoil against the angle of the hand/arm is different. Practicing this way will cure limp wrist after a while, you'll get it right :).
